Shall we play the oh-so-mature FAIL game? Sure, what the hell...

Rahman. - my bad; quality win (not the quality of Kessler or Hopkins, though... and who on his resume is the equivalent of those? Nobody... FAIL x 2)

Lewis - so, it can be said JC stayed at home and wouldn't fight RJJ or Toney, whatever. The fights didn't get made and the holes on JC's are matched by holes in Ruiz's... FAIL

Brewster was a SMW-LW - ?? dip****, I mean Lamon Brewster... you know, the title belt holder that Ruiz never fought? EPIC FAIL

Klits - See Lewis, above... the holes for Ruiz are bigger... there are more title holders that he missed than JC did because... he couldn't hold his belts because he kept losing.

Other belt holders he missed... Peter (I didn't get a FAIL on that; you're so even handed, thank you), Maskaev, Briggs, Sergei... that's alot of holes.... MULTI FAIL

"all the best" comp? - see all the title holders/title challengers he's missed.

Jimmy Thunder??? Never fought for a title (IBO doesn't count guy), was rarely in top 10. And people are denigrating Biko? Look, I respect Thunder; quality pro boxer, but not the perenial contender with the experience of Biko

Toney? Dude, a fat Toney schooled him and you know it.

Tucker? Fresh off his loss to Herbie Hide, and retiring after his next fight. This win has less prestige the Jones for JC

Golota - damn questionable decision; any Golata-level opponets of JC's whose decisions you'd care to dispute?

Johnson - no fake low blows in JC's legacy. not exactly a jewel in the crown

James McCline - his name is Jameel... well if you're going to go to this level, hell, he missed Lance Whitaker and Ibragimov (who's better than that level)

I've quit with the "FAIL's". I'm sure you're just playing devil's advocate at this point and it's juvenile.

Care to rethink that? Surely, you jest. "but he took those fighting the best in his weight class"?? Danell Nicholson, Sergei Kobozev + all those title holders/challengers he never fought... c'mon. Get real. 2 blown up middle weights? He was fighting guys not even IN his weight class and losing.

"you can't say the same for Joe" You're right there... Joe fought more of the top in his division, didn't lose to them and didn't lose to no-names, either.

And in the end, I do think Ruiz is undervalued. He's a troublesome go for anyone. But don't make more of him than is there... compare him to Byrd (except that Byrd has "Kessler level" opponents on his resume... i.e. best of his era).

Of course you're right, he should have cut so much weight that it would be bad for his health to fight at 160 :patsch
Also check your facts, Joe hasn't only fought in Wales, he's fought in England :hey and Germany aswell.

    Oh PLEASE!!!!:patsch

    Spare me the bull****!

A million fighters have done it before him. 8 Lbs would not have been a huge weigthloss for him.

Should Hopkins have fought Tito at 154:think

Hatton is blantantly avoiding a fight with JMM at 135. Cherry picking, turnbuckle loving drunk midget that he is.

You bring new meaning to the word ******ed.

You got towed to school on a wheelbarrow tied to the special bus. You fail to meet the requirements to get on.

Calzaghe, but 2 years ago the answer would have been Ruiz.

He's a very skilled boxer, but fought scared and didn't want to take any risk. The punches he' threw can't hurt a fly.

Maybe if Calzaghe almost lost to Marquez and then beat Diaz (David, that is) on top of beating the worst version of De La Hoya anybody has ever seen then he might be considered half decent I think

Not to mention if he got beat 3 times by bums and barely beat shop worn mexican legends........

 This thread is on Calzaghe and Ruiz mate, I think you're in the wrong place. And as I already said, there is only one serious answer to this question - which is very obviously Joe C. How that comment has got you all hot n bothered spitting feathers about Manny Pacquiao I do not know... Chillax babe....
