OK but who has the best “asterisked wins vs past prime big names and fringe top 10 contenders, plus fought and lost vs ATG, plus discounting losses and quitting, plus persuaded everyone the other top fighters ducked him but not each other” resume though? The gangsta GOAT and it’s not even close

I have a dream that one day people will realise the asterisked wins and passes people gave AJ largely due to slime ball Hearn’s persuasive BS. Thus they will figure out that he is not as good as he was believed to be, and clear 3rd best of era (4th if you include Usyk). With love and best wishes for AJ to prove me wrong and win a belt in the era where all champions are actually the best ie Usyk and Fury rather than Martin and Parker.

I think Wilder would KO AJ but in terms of legacies, AJ's is far greater.

Joshua has done more. I'd favor Deontay to khtfo right now today.

What is great about Joshua's legacy? The fact that you think Wilder would KO AJ shows you don't really respect AJ's legacy.

Saying Deontay Wilder is the best US heavyweight of the 21st century is like you saying you have the biggest willy in an all-girls school.

There have been 10 U.S. heavyweight titlists this century. 21st century U.S. heavyweights have beaten these fighters: Vitali (Byrd), Holyfield (J. Ruiz), Lewis (Rahman), Wlad (Brewster), Joshua (A. Ruiz).

So if Wilder is the best U.S. heavyweight of 21st century thus far, that's an impressive accomplishment. It also suggests that Parker (who has lost to three HW's who aren't as good as Wilder) is in deep doo-doo.

Considering Parker beat one of those heavyweights (Ruiz), who in turn beat AJ, the fighter Wilder is too scared to fight, doesn't really hold up your argument too well.

Hell, Wilder didn't even fight Wlad. Something both Fury and AJ did.

I'm glad Wilder is finally stepping up his competition though, should be a good fight.

Parker got the nod over Ruiz purely due to being in New Zealand rather than America or Mexico. The fight was 50-50. And Parker lost to Ruiz-victim Joshua so it goes both ways.

Wilder has fought Fury-dethroner Wlad three times. Parker is a massive step down in competition and a step down from 30-0 Ortiz. Wilder will officially be the 4th guy to expose Parker.

Joshua's always been scared of Wilder. Wilder had too much delusional confidence to fear losing.

A much more confident pre-Ruiz Joshua on why he ducked Wilder, in his own words:

"I’ve got a career I need to map it out, I’m going to take fights at the right time for me and if it’s next year (2018) or the year after (2019) or the year after (2020) when I fight him (Wilder) I’ll be in a position to beat him. I started boxing 2008, Wilder turned pro 2009, so he’s been a pro one year longer than my whole career. So you can see why they’re rushing him for certain reasons and you can see why I’m taking my time for certain reasons. As I say the fighter on my shoulder says let’s rock and roll, the coach on my shoulder says ‘you know what Josh, you need to just work on a few more things before you take a fight like that. Because when it’s all said and done, all that matters is that win, not the fact that people say ‘he didn’t fight him here and he didn’t fight him there’. - Anthony Joshua, 2017

"I always think about that one punch, no one can beat me skill-for-skill, I don’t think. But it’s that one punch: I’d hate for that to be the reason why I lose. One punch. And that’s what they’re all looking at. Every fight is scary. You don’t want to lose everything you’ve got – especially this one – this was a banana-skin fight because of what’s to come. As with the Parker fight, I didn’t want to take any risks." - Anthony Joshua, 2018

    https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2018/sep/23/anthony-joshua-admits-fears-one-punch

“If I have another one of these fights, I’m done with boxing. I should be good enough that I don’t have to go through hell and back to win a fight. It should be a good competition, but I shouldn’t have to go through one of those fights to win.” - Joshua to McCracken post-Wlad

Interviewer: “Do you want to fight Wilder next?”

Joshua: “Argh my back! Is there a doctor in here my back’s gone.”

This guy referenced Byrd’s win over Vitali but won’t accept Parker’s win over Ruiz being referenced.

    Good grief.

Official result: Parker MD Ruiz - you claim Ruiz would have won elsewhere and refuse to give Parker any credit for this win, yet hail Wilder's draw with an unfit Fury which most would say was a far worse decision than the Ruiz fight. If that fight hadn't happened in America Wilder would have arguably taken an L using your same logic. You are completely biased and have 0 objectivity.

Don't worry, if Parker loses to Wilder then it'll become a travesty that he didn't UD Ruiz.

For some people it's all about making up a narrative to suit their desires... Where, I think, you'd revise your opinion of Wilders level if he loses to Parker, there are plenty of Wilder fans that'd turn Joe into a H2H ATG overnight.
