Beatbox puts forth a solid argument in this thread, its not the normal nuthuggery argument from ENGLISH_TITAN , Rickx1 or Pugilist64

But I still have to disagree, Hopkins beat his top opponents in a much more impressive manner than JC did, Hopkins is in most peoples top 50 ATG whereas many objective boxing fans struggle to get Joe into their top 80-100

With the amount of Bias fans we have on ESB, the poll is still 75% in favor of BHOP... and for the most part , ESB posters know a lot more about boxing than your average shmuck

( although we our fair share of down sydromes too :lama )

OK so by your logic Camacho is better than Leonard. Berbick better than Ali, Joppy better than Duran. Calling you stupid is an isult to every stupid person in the world...Log out now:hi:

Bhop beat Pavlik in what was supposedly one of his greatest ever performances, he fought Calzaghe only a few months before so when both fighters were at their Peack slappy cherry picker won.

be as nostalgic as you like and watch all your HBO specials about Ali, bottom line is he lost, so on the day Berbick was better than ali. :hi:

so its your logic that is flawed, you think if somone loses he is better than the person who beat him:happy

he said in an interview himself he was at his peak...... oh i guess you know Bhop's performances better than him, your so clever you not only can read his mind but you can question his decisions.

if your knowledge of boxing was as big as your ego you could be good for this forum..

    but its not.

He was 43 years old it doesn't matter what he said. Not saying he was shot, but certainly not at his peak.

Alright! Your's was much better than mines (I felt you kicked my ass pretty handily) so I had to clarify with another thread, which I think I did a better job in.

I don't expect a lengthy reply, not from your good self anyway, but I had already made the thread before I read this...

    Till next time anyway :good

Hopkins is greater than Slappy for the simple reason that he can throw a straight punch and Calzaghe can only slap like a chick.:fight

Seriously, fighting that dude is like fighting a woman. No way can a dude win fighting that guy. The judges gives Slappy rounds just for flailing his arms, much like the way cops always side with the woman whenever she gets in a fight with her husband.

I would say Calzaghe is about on the same level as Laili Ali as far as legacy goes.:good
