The only legacy FLoyd really has is his 0, but even thats a fraud as Castillo beat him clearly.

Legacy did and dat......when they actually met in the Ring Pac was reduced by FMJ to a glorified Sparring partner.......118-110......that is the legacy right there.

Manny is significantly greater. The resume and willingness to go to war. Manny could be top 20 All time and Floyd maybe top 50. Big difference.

It's a Messi or Ronaldo type of debate to me. Pick who you like and your reasons for doing so and I'll probably understand why.

Arguably the only man to prove better in the ring than Pacquiao over the last 20 years is Mayweather.

I mean I know Morales and Marquez beat him clearly, but he's also beaten them. The losses to Bradley and Horn are both extremely debatable at best.

As well as that Floyd has been an unbeaten title holder at 5 weights and the best in the division at 4 of those.

Plus Floyd has the win over Canelo which looks incredible with hindsight.

But then again Pacquiao has had such an amazing career being title holder at 8 weights and being the best in the division at 5 of those. And Pacquiao has such an amazing list of fighters he's beaten.

I think it's debatable, very debatable. The strongest argument for Floyd is that he beat Pacquiao. But then we have the shoulder injury and the age. Would Floyd have beaten the Pacquiao who destroyed Cotto, probably, but can we be sure?

When this thread was first posted I had no doubt. The answer is clearly Floyd, but the more I think about it the more I don't know. I have a nagging doubt in my mind as to how successful Floyd would have been ahainst Pac with no shoulder injury or Pac pre ko6.

    Man.

    Debatable.

I might spend the next few months telling myself Pac beats Floyd prime for prime, and if I have that argument in my head, what else does Floyd have going for him?

You can't beat being boxing's only 8-division world champion, and now the oldest welterweight world champion. There is no boxer that is like him who has come before, is now, or ever will come close to the body of work Pacquiao has amassed in his 24-year career.

    Pac, no doubt.

Though Floyd's dispatching of Mcgregor and the little Japanese kick boxer did narrow the gap in a big way.
