Who has the greater resume Wladimir Klitschko or Joe Calzaghe?

By that standard if Calzaghe somehow KO's Roy Jones since Calzaghe is a slapper it would mean Jones has a Glass Jaw correct? It would essentially be the same thing.

If Calzaghe knocks out Jones not even the biggest Jones nuthugger could say he does not have a Glass Jaw.

Wow, tough call. I will go with Wlad, just barely. While Calzaghe pissed away the years between 97-06, fighting nobodies outside of America, holding the weakest of 4 belts, and making little attempt to unify or move up in weight, I think it's fair to say he was afraid of the tough competition around his weight class.

Wlad on the other hand started his career in 96, after winning the gold at the olympics that year. His wins may not be that great, but neither are Joe's, and he had more time and better oppenents to prove himself if he wanted. Wlad has fought good boxers (Bryd twice, Brock, Iggy), to hard hitting sluggers like (Mercer, Brewster, Peter), other than a few fighters, Wlad has dominated an extremely weak division over the last couple years, while Calzaghe continues to duck his biggest challenge in Pavlik, and choose yet again to fight another washed up fighter(RJJ) to add names to his severely weak resume.

Still a long time to go for Wladimir and from the way it looks Wladimir is looking and planning to fight everyone available with unification plans, something Joe didn't have in plan simply because he didn't want to travel. Based on actual plans and decisions Wladimir wins, he wants to fight everyone available and unify, he's already the IBF/WBO champion beating CHAMPIONS looking to get the WBA and WBC pretty soon, his intentions are those of a man who truly wants a high status when he's retired.

I believe that when it's all set and done Wladimir will be rated and appreciated more if he succeeds with his plans.

Right now it's definitely Joe, Wladimir still needs some time, he's young and very active so this is too soon and a bit unfair for him at this point.

This is to make Mikkel Kessler sound better? Cause even if Joe has a better legacy than Wlad thus far, Mikkel got that ass BEAT.

    :D

The question asked was who had the better resume. I gave my opinion and why. I do not care what happens to Joe Calzaghe.

No but to be fair on the guy he's not been brutally KO'd by bums in his reign. He's fought nothing but bums and has-beens just like WALDO but at least Joe hasn't been KO'd 3 times in the process so he wins this one.

Yes, if Calzaghe sends Jones to sleep with one punch I think we can safely say that Roy nowadays has a glass jaw.

The KO punch came at the temple of his head, wasn't on his chin.
