I don't think so, because he never ever would pick a winner between the two. But one point he stressed time and time again, both privately and publicly was that Wlad had the greatest 1 punch KO power he had ever seen - and he made a point to include Lennox in that distinction. But he never picked a winner, and also consistently emphasized areas where he thought Lewis was superior to Wladimir, which included overall toughness and better fighting instincts.

From that group? Lennox hands down.

The Klitschkos hit hard, but are a step below I would say.

Larry Holmes was a great boxer, not really a puncher.

Dustin Nichols. But a back to back Wlad/Lennox highlight reel would show how close they were. Isn't Wlads ko ratio better?

    Vit's power is very overrated.

Wlad had the better uppercut and left hook, but Lewis had the better right hand by far. Prime, ****ed off Larry Holmes great combination puncher with blazing hand speed you usually don't see much of in the hw division and Vitali tho didn't have the athleticism of Wlad, he timed his slower punches alot better and still had crushing power.

I'd sacrifice the extra punching power for the superior skill set. Wlad is the hardest puncher, Holmes is the best boxer and Lewis falls second to Larry Holmes in terms of boxing skills.

But the opponents they have in common have been stopped in less time and less punches by Wlad.

Plus Emmanuel and common sparring partners give the edge to Wlad, and i agree too.

Anyway i think they're the two hardest hitter ever, for now. Vitali was an awkward arm puncher with kickboxing habits, beat his opponents by accumulation.

Tyson was small, his power wasn't that great, he was fast and skilled tho.

There have been many journeymen/champions/never has been who with single punches could hit almost as hard or even harder than Wlad, Lewis and the others, but the key is to be able to do it against live opponents and constantly.

That's what makes the difference. Lucas Browne probably throws an heavier overhand than Wlad, but can't land it even on stationary targets. Hence he isn't really "more powerful".

    Wlad.

Holmes, Lewis are a bit weaker, with Lewis being right up there. Holmes? not so much.

Vitali was more of a gatling gun

they were old versions, of course they should have been stopped in less time, at least half.

notwithstanding the point that opposition up to 10 years past the time they were good enough for a title shot, shouldn't be getting a title shot from wlad.

It's between Wlad & Lewis. I picked Wlad, but they're close. His straight shots are tremendous.
