Well yeah, when you consider that speaking coherently at this stage doesn't have much to do with boxing.
calzaghe boxing iq must be pretty ****ing huge,he always finds away to adapt to an opponent and take rounds. right now though id have to say pbf,his adaptability and movement in the ring is phenomenal,no matter who he has fought he has found a way to better them.
i dont know if i would put jones in there b/c his talent came naturally. he's not really a student of the game like hopkins, floyd, or james toney. those guys used remarkable defensive technique. Jones is the greatest fighter i've ever seen, but he was great b/c of his raw, superhuman talent. it was his speed and reflexes that took him to the top. but i dont think he had that james toney/floyd mayweather/pernel whitaker defense.
yeah those are my picks but Foreman was pretty good. all in all those i would say tyson he is a true student of the game .
tyson had very low in ring IQ,he failed to find a way to adapt when his brute power wasn't working and couldnt handle it when someone roughed him up like holyfield did.
His huge heart and all out toughness is what has kept him around this long, not so much his boxing brain, he's nothing like B-Hop or Archie Moore at this stage. As far as his speech, not exactly true, as he spoke much better early on in his career.
the only reason you started this thread was to see people praising your fighters floyd and roy jones.
