I have to go with Oscar De La Hoya on this one, I think he recieved more gift decisions off of star power than anyone else in boxing history

    Sturm/Quartey/Whitaker

I believe he will beat a drastically undersized Pacman

The Quartey and Whitaker were controversial but every poll I've seen regarding the outcome of these fights had the majority picking DLH as the winner.

I have not seen a Sturm/DLH poll but i'm almost certain Sturm gets the majority vote!

    Disagree!

Love or hate him, DLH will be remembered for being the biggest PPV draw of his time!

Chavez, Sr.....I thought Oscar pulled it out at the end with Qaurtey. I would not of been surprised if the ref stopped it when Oscar was pounding him against the ropes during the end.

I was looking for the link too both of those fights, the majority of the sports writers had him losing both fights, as far as the fans star power means everything so I believe you when you say he recieved the majority of the polls

    Thats a myth.

He won a lot of close but clear fights because thats the way he fights, he does just enough.

He had a few stinkers late in his career though.

The same argument can be used against fighters like Hearns and Trinidad and that doesn't take away from the fact that they're both considered living legends!

I don't know how you can mention Trinidads name. Beat Oba Carr at 20, Campus, Carr, De La Hoya, Reid, Vargas, Joppy. He won all his big fights. He had no business fighting Hopkins or Jones because he was too small, and he was no longer in his prime against Winky Wright

That was not a dis on Tito.

Just pointed out that the "lost his biggest fights" argument can also be used against him and Hearns among other fighters!
