A more important question would be what would Hoya's legacy be had he gotten the victories over Trinidad and Mosley 2?
definatally a true statement, If manny pacquio gets one more gift he will qualify for this because he's already got 2 Oscar de la hoya for most gifts winky wright for most girfts against(vargas, hopkins, arguebly worst gift in history Taylor I had it 9-2).
How about Paulie Ayala? Tapia I and II, Johnny Bredahl, Hugo Dianzo and Bones Adams were all thought to be controversial in some way, shape or form. Then again there's Willie Jorrin. He got an absolute howler over Michael Brodie after being outclassed all night, another over Oscar Larios and a dodgy draw with a Japanese chap whose name I can't remember before Larios ironed him out in one in the rematch.
To me, PBF over JLC (their first fight). Shame on all the judges. Everyone who sees that fight, who doesn't really care about each fighter and watches for the sake of boxing, unbiasly knows that JLC won. What makes it to me the biggest controversial victory is that it helped create the grandeur of PBF that we all know today. You know, there is no shame in ever losing. But, there is shame in winning something when it really belongs to someone else. The boxing world needed the grandeur to keep going in what I know they believed was for the sake of boxing.
The most? Most notorious most be: Park Si-Hun For most in temrs of numbers three names stand out: ODLH Ottke Ayala
Let's be fair to DLH here he's also had a couple of very debatable ones go against him (Trinidad and Mosley II spring to mind!)
