This is going to be a real fkn fight there is no doubt about that:yep Add the Mexico vs PR deal and its even better. Funny enough this is probably the biggest Mexican vs PR fight since Trinidad vs DLH lmao....sad but true...

Hey but at least we know one thing for sure...Cotto vs Margarito will be 10x better of a fight than Trinidad vs DLH!

Fernando Vargas does not reflect the mexicans of our decade, nor does he stand for the hispanic community. Please dont mention his name when it comes to big fights.

Well I mean you're pretty much being very judgemental and you are acting like you know Vargas personally. You have no idea what kind of person he really is. He was thrown into the limelight at a ridiculously young age..He was immature but one thing is for sure that Fight with Trinidad should have gotten EVERYONES respect.

One of the things that gets to me everytime I see that fight is seeing Vargas getting demolished and Jim Lampley says something along the lines of how big that kids guts were and George Foreman was like Na Thats a man right there!

That **** is crazy. 22 years old! He fought a grown ass man...a MONSTER...We know Boxing is a young mans sport and it favors youth...But TRINIDAD was a MONSTER

Cotto is most effective going forward, using head movement & throwing hard combinations. If he tries to back up & let Margarito extend his arms for maximum power, then Cotto is dead meat. The best style for Cotto will have to be using his boxing ability & speed. To BACK up Margarito & keep him off balance to set up his power shots. Cotto will have to exert HIS will on Margarito. Moving forward with effective aggression. Plus Cotto's defense isn't good enough to let Margarito tee of so he can counterpunch. All that will happen is Cotto will keep getting beaten to the punch.

It doesn't matter who hits harder ... Cotto has the overall edge on speed and boxing ability ...

While Margarito is relentless, aggressive, and has a granite chin ...

It will be a war of wills and it will come down to who wants the victory more.

I can see it going either way ...

I'm going with Margarito, due to his relentless style, his constant attack, his high work rate, and his chin ...

Cotto will have to give it all he's got and use his superior boxing skills and not worry about pleasing the crowd. If he does that he can take the decision or possibly stop Margarito.

I'm taking Margarito by stoppage either by accumulation of punches or cuts.

Cotto in my opinion and I'm not being biased.

They can both hit. Though Margarito to me, seems to be a guy that overwhelms people more with his volume and pressure rather than brute strength like Cotto. (Not saying Cotto relies on that to win fights, of course) Another thing, Cotto looks like he does more damage to opponents than Margarito despite not throwing as many punches as he does.

I don't think so. I believe it'll come down to Cotto's boxing ability and conditioning.

I don't know man. A lot of people would disagree with you. If you have the fight on tape go back and watch the audience. All I saw was Mexican and PR flags. Seems like a PR vs Mexico rivalry fight to me.
