I hate Ottke more than I hate Calzaghe. JC biggest crime was allowing Frank Warren to waste his prime years by fighting to many bums. JC has a decent record but Lennox Lewis's is allot better.

Ottke became WBC light-heavyweight champ inside his first handful of fights.

Ottke retired very early and had less fights than JC. Up until the Kessler fight their resumes were almost equivalent given that Eubanks was shot by the time he fought JC. Ottke does not really have any great names on his resume just decent victories.

  9. Pretty similar up until JC's last few fights.

But heres a question..... If JC lost one of his early bouts and never has his 0 would he be even considered ATG ???

Ottke's was stronger until Calzaghe got his finger out in '06.

Its irelevant who resume is better,Calzaghe had one or two disputable wins including Hopkins but some of Ottkes wins were a downright farce, apart from knocking out mundane Mundine, his only badge of honor for that.

This. We'll see how it looks in the long run though. Most of Calzaghe's big fights already look worse now than when he scheduled them, and if Kessler proves to not be as good as we think he is, his resume would take another strong hit.
