Did you not watch the Brewster fight? I swear Byrd was very close to taking points off of Waldo. And of course, the big robot self-destructed once he realized he wasn't going to be able to squeeze his way to victory.

    It's academic at this point.

Are you ******ed or something? :huh

Bending the rules a bit by leaning on an opponent or clinching too often never caused an opposing fighter to get pugilistic dementia or bleeding on the brain like rabbit punching can. Rabbit punches are dangerous & illegal for a reason.

I Believe Peter now holds the record for illegal rabbit punches landed, rabbit punch attempts, a rabbit punch warnings from the ref vs. many other opponents other than Klitschko.

That's Peters best punch! Taking that away from him is like taking away the left hook from Frazier.

Seriously: Peter does it systematically, he's doing this **** with intention. It's part of his game-plan. And that should be well-known by now, so I don't get why the referees don't penalize it. Sure, he got some warnings because of it, but as far as I know he's never been deducted a point for it. Next time he does that **** the ref should immediately take a point away from him, without warning, the ref can do that and that's the only way to stop that bull****

partly, but this thread is not a such one - it is about someone doing something illegal - and you should be able to hate that without getting slammed.

and it aint even hating on sam, i use to like him and i would always give him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't trying to really hurt his opponents by doing that.....and after alot of fights later, i can't believe this guy really actually tries to hurt somebody with that punch....:-( :-(

I think you are Ruskull, I think you should watch some Boxing matches before calling me ******ed. If his oppenents wouldnt turn there back or put there head down to avoid his punches, it wouldnt happen right? Manny steward even said on saturday night the punches Peter landed on Wlad werent fouls, and he said that his punches are fine. I think Manny knows more than you my friend, if you dont believe me, watch the fight yourself, and listen to what he said.:good

When you disregards the months of KLIT-ite rants about this behind the head sh*t, it's no suprise Manny said what he said.
Freddie Roach started all of this behind the head as a "talking point" ****. Manny didn't feel such lowly tactics were needed, because he knew his fighter could beat Peter (and he had "Jab&Grab ready to go, a style Toney hasn't mastered). Roach was trying to protect Toney when going into battle with Peter...and the KLIT-ites were inadvertantly the wall the **** happened to stick to.

Yeah, I remember before the first or second Peter/Toney fight, they showed the ref going over the rules in the dressing room to Toney, I remember Roach saying something about watching punches behind the head, the ref told him something like "Your guy turns his back, it's on you". Toney is known for putting his head down and turning his back, so it was inevitable that he wasnt going take a hit or two behind the head, just like Tyson/Holyfield, both lead with there head, your almost guaranteed headbutts.
