When it comes to the Heavyweight division, most detractors suffer from herd mentality. People have been regurgitating the idea that "the heavyweight division sucks," for so long, that most ignorant fight fans won't even give it a chance. Such a shame. There is so much skill in today's heavyweight division. Povetikin, Chambers, the Klitschkos, Thompson, Chagaev...just to name a few. All very skilled heavyweights. Very good potential match-ups...just in need of an audience in the states.
yeah, but those guys were pretty skilled. Today, we got some average fighters from easter europe. nobody wants to see those soviet fighters.
I disagree, the heavyweight division is very unskilled today. Those guys won't stand a chance against the heavyweights of the 90's or even 80's.
wlad vs iggy,, was the worst fight ever man and it was PPV here in canada it was like 50,,, thank god duddy's fight save to night lol
I am pretty sure a guy like Tim Witerspoon beats the Chagaevy, Valuev and Dmitrenkov up and maybe even Vitali.
Thats 1 fight. I have seen other guys have boring fights as well. Wlad did what he had to do... maybe if Iggy would have fought rather than trying to keep from getting KO'd it might have been better.
Didn't Wlad have some respect for Iggy as well....unlike say Austin who talked all sorts a **** before their fight
yes. Iggy was a very good counter puncher and it was very clear Iggy was leaning so far back and down that he was trying to get Wlad to get off balance and open for a quick counter. I think Wlad showed great composure and discipline and the blame for a boring fight should be on Iggy which haters on this site just wont do:-(
 are u dyslexic? Because you keep mixing up Wlad and Haye"s names.... You mean: "Haye still hasn't grown a pair and signed the contract" :hey
