Wladdy has a very impressive record, and soon will add names like Haye and Povetkin to it (though I am hoping that Povetkin turns into a great pair or trilogy myself).

He has put the past behind him, went on an impressive winning streak, avanged a defeat, unifed belts, conducted himself with honor, and will soon out the best names yet on his record. What more can anyone want?

Thanks buddy, I'm still pissed I didn't catch the show live when Shannon was on, I would of loved to of asked him a few questions. I caught most of the show on replay, did anyone ask him about ending some college guys football career after he beat the **** out him in a fight. I read somewhere he had to pay a Million plus for the damages he did to the guy. I certainly wouldn't want to tangle with a guy that can punch like a mule and is 6'4 and probably close to 300 pounds when he he's not training for a fight.

First off he's from the Ukraine, not Russia.

He has fought practically everyone he could have fought except his brother which is a completely understandable decision. It's not his fault that the division is as poor as it is. I'll admit that his cautious attitude can be very frustrating especially when he is head and shoulders over his opponent (physically and skill wise).

However at a time where disrespect is rife in sport it's good to see an intelligent,modest and giving (charity etc) sport star. How you can call him a coward is beyond belief. He steps into a ring to fight for his living and therefore deserves repect. In fact every fighter should at least be treated with respect for putting their bodies on the line for the publics pleasure.

I'm not even a big fan of his but I definitely think he does not deserve such disrespect.

 

It's a figure of speech. Briggs is extremely heavy handed, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe more than 60% of his KO's came in the 1st round.:deal
