Yeah, but at least they can fight.

This is not against the Klitschkos. But 2 Russians are enough.

Then we have Valuev, Chagaev,Dimitrenkov...Those guys would have all been beaten up by the TOP US heavyweights of the 90's and 80's. They are kind guys but not attractive for the heavyweight division.
    Man, is this division boring.

Each one has geniune pound for pounders.

MW is a little **** granted, but you have Pavlik and Abraham, along with some decent enough contenders like Duddy, Lorenzo and Lee. At least it has two top fighters who are willing to fight each other, and a linear champion.

Light HW has Dawson, Tarver, Johnson, Woods, Henry, Jones, BHop. Its clearly way better than HW.

SMW is a good division, Kessler, pascal, Froch, taylor, Miranda, Bute, Andrade, Kirkland, Lacy. Its vastly superior to HW.

CW has a numerous good fighters in its ranks, who come in shape and fight each other. The division has loads of great matchups and numerous contenders who can actually challenge the champion, unlike HW. You have Adamek, Cunningham, Bell, Mormeck, Fragomeni, Huck, Macca, Jones, Braithwaite, Flores. Its way deeper.

HW is not deep like you suggest. It has plenty of crap fighters, its not the same. Yes, you can name a lot of HW fighters, so what? Half are washed up never were's like McCline, you have a selection of limited plodders like Virchis and Arreola who will never hack it at top level. Chag is injured and iggy retired. Gomez is old. Valuev is ****. I could go on.

A deep division is one where there are plenty of active contenders on their way UP, who can challenge the champions. You confuse it with a just a long list of insignificant names.

you are telling me Vitali Klitschko can't fight?:rofl

There is not one fighter in the World today that could beat him in any weight class.

Nice double standard the Mexicans can fight and the Russians can't. :patsch

there are so many holes in this post that it would take me forever to respond. So I will keep it short. First you start off by mentioning pound 4 pound which is COMPLETE fantasy and conjecture. It is mythical. How many times in History has the Heavyweight Division had a fighter in the pound 4 pound top ten?

Then you go on to list fighters like Clinton Woods who is garbage, Lacy who is garbage and has not been competitive since the Calzaghe thrashing. Froch who is totally unproven at the elite level. Miranda who gets his Glass Jaw shattered every single time he steps up in competition. Jones who is so washed up he can't take punches from Glen Johnson. Then you list Andy Lee as a contender who was knocked out when he stepped up? that is laughable. How many times do Mormeck and Braithwaite have to get knocked out before you realize they suck? Then you mention Maccarenelli?:rofl:patsch The guy is garbage. Period.

I am not saying the Heavyweight Division is stacked or anything but it is LAUGHABLE at the list of fighters you listed from those weight classes to use as an example for your arguement. If the top 8 Heavyweights in the World would fight each other the Division would be fine. The fighters are there but the fights are not do to politricks, promoters, and managers etc.

Who cares where a champ is from..its about the performance....

I uderstand but the problem with those fighters from Eastern Europe is:

    1) There are so many now, which makes it less attractive because we have so many potential Russian vs Russian fighters matchups which nobody cares for. I mean Valuev-Wlado, who the fk cares...A few years back, there was only Golota and he was a good for the division because he kinda like an exception.

    2) They are nice guys but lack personality and don't speak English and most importantly they can't fight like the US heavyweights used to. I am not a fan of Haye but I think it is good he entered the division because he is entertaining.

Then you're not a true fan of the sport...it shouldn't matter what country they come from. Recognize the skills, not the flag!!

Yeah but except the Klitschkos they have no skills. I mean look at Valuev he is really a nice guy but he can't fight. He got gifts against Holy, Ruiz and Donald. Same thing for the other Russians. The division is fk boring.

If Haye beats WALDO (or rather when he beats WALDO :yep) the division will still be a pile of ****, Haye will have just proved it that's all. Haye has been saying for ages that the HW division stinks, which is why he's moved up - to prove it. Shame WALDO still hasn't grown a pair and signed the contract :hey

I'd say it has more to do with being non-American than white. I'll be the first one to admit that i'd love to see an American KO Wlad. But that doesn't change the fact on 3 things. 1). Wlad is the best heavyweight out there at the moment and 2). that's not saying a whole lot because the heavyweights out there that are decent unfortunately aren't fighting each other and 3). Wlad will always have the stigma around him b/c of the Sanders & Brewster I fights. Lennox got more respect later in his career (well deserved) and more so since he retired but I don't think he ever completely lived down the McCall and Rahman KO's
