    Good thread, and bloody tough to answer.

    Boxing = Randy Couture.
    Muay Thai = Anderson Silva.
    Wrestling = George St Pierre.
    Jiu Jitsu = Demian Maia.

    and apologies to about 100 others.

    randy didnt have good boxing skills he had good dirty boxing and GnP but boxing not so.

    hed probably lose to alot of guys in a boxing match but hes put on some great performances based off his boxing and his dirty boxing is second to none.
    its such a hard thing to classify too because every time you throw a punch or slip one your technically "boxing"

    Dirty boxing is a handy skill in the octagon. Chuck Liddell was another who wasn't a technical or stylish boxer, but he was also one you didn't want to get hit flush by.

    Randy's boxing skills may have been pretty basic, but he did extremely well with what he had, ie. he used it effectively

    As did Chuck. It was like watching a drunk fighting in the pub car park sometimes, but by geez it was effective.

    Wrestling - Matt Hughes by a mile. Great TD/Top control combined with a finishing ability the likes of GSP, Randy, Coleman ect were lacking. Aside from Sakuraba, the best BJJ skills for any wrestler offensively and defensively. Saku had a great single leg, and was miles ahead on his back, but Matt gets the nod over him for me as his TD's were better

    BJJ - Royce. Been plenty more fighters who were better on the ground, but we all know the story so I wont repeat it.

    Muay Thai - Anderson Silva. Close 2nd is Cro Cop, aloughh he isnt strictly Muay Thai is he more euro Kickboxing, and Wandy 3rd

    Boxing - Going to have to go with BJ but this is a tough one....

    What about if we reversed this thread to ask for the WORST exponents of these disciplines??? :D

    Although I'm aware there will be better suggestions, mine for now will be:


    Boxing - Brock Lesnar

    Wrestling - Dustin Hazelett

    JiuJitsu - Chael Sonnen

    Muay Thai - That guy that looked like a big fat baby who got volleyed in the teeth by Gerard Gordeau at UFC1!
