the problem that I've always seen with sweetpea's head movement is that he put his head under his oponent's waist way way way way way freaking way too often.

And that's a foul. I never understood why he always got a pass. Had I been the referee I would have deducted more than one and 2 points for fauling nonstop. That's why I dont like sweetpea's head movement, well, I mean, that's why I prefer other guy's defenses/head movement. Guys who do not foul when the execute their defensive movements. Sweetpea's defense is ATG, ofc, I'm not denying that.

Ray Leonard, Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mike Tyson, although his style was more to work inside.

He's not on the peak of that mountain. There are so many fighters who have exhibited better head movement than Canelo.......................smh

Just say he has very good head and upper body movement and leave it at that.

I wouldn't even put him on the bottom rim of the mountain's snowcap, nor say that he's 'very' good in those areas. He's fine, decent.

Such a strange attribute to fixate on that isn't even close to being among his biggest strengths as a fighter.

You put it a little less diplomatic than I did, but I agree

Simply, it's very easy to observe. Speed is another attribute obsession for many, and that's easy to observe too. There's a trend evolving here...

Just goes to show how fast Mayweather was. Made Canelo look slow. Today, Canelo is considered faster than most of his opponents.

I will go out on a limb and say that Chavez actually had the slightly better head movement. At the very least, Chavez looked more fluid moving his head. People just don't give Chavez enough credit for his defense.
