For me it's the best demonstration by a fighter in the history of boxing.

    Jones was 26

    Pazienza was 32

Pazienza had a good chin, agrat heart and he was fast.

Jones has simply dismantle him in a ultimate fashion.

The final knoockdown in the Round 6 is maybe the best in history. Jones used uppercuts form both hands with pivot at the same time...unbelievable.

Third Round: Pazienza threw many shots...and NO One landed

Go on youtube to see this fight.......the jab of Jones in that fight: a machine gun...

I have it on dvd. Great performance from Roy. But i have to say Vinny was overmatched in this fight. Don't wanna dampen it, but no one gave Vinny a chance. But Roy was indeed majestic in this fight.

Emanuel Steward thought Roy would win a close decision. I think a lot of experts thought so as well.

Vinny was a badass. Looked like a cube at supermiddle. Totally cuboid.

i seem to remember something unusual about that fight. was'nt there a round in the fight where pazienza failed to land a single punch?

Going in to this fight I thought Jones was going to get him out of there with in 2 to 3 rds. I was kinda surprised he fought so relaxed, he made it look like he was just sparring. I was never a big Pazienza fan, but he gave it all he had and as fan of this sport I couldn't ask for more.

This IS an ex lightweight fighting an ATG supermiddle here. Imagine, say, a fat marquez against Hopkins and it doesn't seem to have the same luster it did.

But yeah, Roy is way scary in that fight.
