Hopefully Loudon doesn't ever have to slap his girlfriend around for disturbing the Roy Jones, Jr sessions. A true scholar takes his work seriously. I wish Metal Mandible was still around for that fight to take place. :deal

Boxing was way behind the ball on testing. I dont think it became widespread until 02-03

It could be argued that Lewis ducked Byrd. His IBF mando

Even though Lewis beat Holyfield twice I still rate Holyfield higher:

Holyfield: Qawi (past prime) I, Bowe II, Tyson (past prime) x2,
Lewis: Holyfield (very past prime) x 2, Vitali

Have I somehow given you the impression that I like Roy? Ha!

Me and Metal went at it a few times before he went missing.

I used to love reading his posts. I hope he comes back, he was crazy!

He did call for the rematch for years. It was Jones who dismissed him. You really should check out the pre fight talk for the Brannon fight.
Is that why he tried to make a fight with Liles in 96?

I alway wondered how a pro fight between the 2 would go ..I know Liles beat Jones as an amateur few times but after watching a few of them Jones fought more conventional .As a pro he used more athleticism and was more u orthodox ..Would have have been a good scrap ..

No. Shelly said that Jones had a inflated opinion of himself

I personally think Liles would of been a much better fighter if he fought out of his natural stance, which was orthodox. He seemed vunerable to right hands at times and did not have the best chin either. He had ko power but rarely sat down on his pounches, Littles II was more of the exception than the norm for him.
