seriously, i can't be the only one who'd rather stick needles in my eyes rather than watching this overweight, clubbing, clumsy bore. a cruise liner turns full circle quicker and his main punch is the rabbit punch, problem is he doesn't mean to hit you on the back of the head it's his awful technique which makes him even more god awful to watch.

is this entire peter is exciting myth based entirely on him smashing out that journeyman williams?

Far too clumsy and crude for my liking. His KO of Maskaev was as crude as any I have seen. No skill, and overrated power.

Me and the missus watched the fight. She`s not really a boxing fan but will watch it if im watching it on TV. Her first comments were, "These guys look like 2 fat amateurs. And whats up with the fat african bloke?!" Those were her exact words not mine and she rarely watches boxing.

Peter is monstrously terrible to watch. When he went after Maskeav when he was hurt it looked like a pack of wild stupid wilder beast trying to escape the crocodiles at the bottom of the river. His body of work was atrocious to watch. He was wild extremely amateurish and most of all well out of shape and simply overweight. Personally im not a fan and never will be. His post fight speech was even worse as his attempt at smack talking was woeful. I mean His been interviewed and then for his reponse all he can shout is "whooooooo nex?" and then a bunch of mumbo jumbo that sounded like a voodoo spell? Gimme a break.

If Peter fought at any other weight I would vote no. I personally find him fun to watch. He's a big guy, comes to fight, has a good chin, with great power. If he ever had the discipline to come in 10 to 15 pounds lighter, and work on his conditioning, he'd be 2 times better than he is.

It's a shame he doesn't use his jab as much as he should. He throws looping shots....But still, when and if he connects, he usually hurts his opponents. He isn't afraid to take a few punches in order to land one big one.....That's why I'm a fan, and find him exciting to watch.

He isn't the most skilled heavyweight in the division. Wlad is clearly more gifted, but that's not to say there isn't room for improvement with Peter to get better.

I like watching Peter fight. He's really polished and refined his game. He comes to fight and with his power, it is exciting. Plus, he looks like the black version of Hulk. The dudes got the neck of a freaken ox.

Shame he hasn't got a chin and a jab to match. He might want to learn the straight right too while his at it..

Let's give both Peter and Maskaev a little credit. At least the two of them weren't afraid to mix it up, and attempted to give the fans their money's worth, unlike two other titlists who fought a few weeks ago.

At least both Maskaev and Peter threw punches, even the HBO crew said the fight was exciting, alot better than the Wlad/Iggy fight.

Saying Peter's fights aren't exciting is puzzling.

    Look at his last few...

He finsishes a showcase of counterpunching, with a little ALI shuffle vs. Toney.

He tastes canvas THREE times vs. McCline, to pick him self up off the floor and earn the victory.

He wins the tilte by brutal stoppage, which would have been nasty had Maskaev not fallen into the ropes...

Love him or hate him, his fights have a pulse. :smoke
