Who here picked Moreno to beat Darchinyan? - Moreno vs Mares thoughts?

Moreno is good ! i could see him beating Abner Mares ! the guy can move , and land from crazy angles ! He gives any one in the division a tough fight ! Mares is on a roll ! Would be a great fight !

 

not me, thats the first Ive seen of Moreno. Very sound defensive fighter.

 

Darchinyan is so overrated.

 

Yeah I got it at +190... put it on a nice sized parlay with Chisora though. Damn you Finland.

 

Mares would beat the living **** out of him. It wasn't that Moreno is that good, Vic just fought that badly. He might have gotten old.

If I get any kind of decent odds betting against Moreno v. Mares or anyone like that, I'm gonna make a pretty big bet.

I picked Vic by KO damn! People were telling me Moreno was no joke, but I didn't listen, and didn't even bother to watch some of his videos. :bart

I had no clue who Moreno was and if you say you did, you're probably Panamian. The question is does any fighter want to get to know him in the ring after Moreno's schooling of Vic?

 

I picked Moreno on a split I think, ill go through my posts later and check, he is a very underrated boxer and I thought his style would cause problems for Darchinyan but I didn't think he would win that wide.

As for Mares/Moreno, I think it'll be a good close fight. I would have edged for Mares before the weekend but I might change after i have watched the two fights.

 

I have done exactly one p4p list in my life. It was on this site a year or two ago in some big thread. IIRC I had Moreno on it then already. So obviously I picked him. :bbb
That's not saying my p4p list wasn't ****, because it was.

 

I picked Moreno mostly because I suspected Darchinyan wouldn't give 100% in his preparation as he'd already decided to quit boxing win or lose. But Moreno really put up a show and has proven to be a very big threat to the top Bantamweights.

Id probably favor Mares a tiny bit over Moreno, but skill and style wise this is another good 50/50 fight. A draw or split decision in favor of Mares is my guess

 

I picked Moreno over Darchinyan but mostly because I hate Darchinyan. I think Mares would beat Moreno though.

 

i havent seen much of the fight but Vic looked awful. One punch wild swings that got him no where with no follow ups or attempts at combos from what i saw. I hate his style but he looked like a bar room drunk.
Moreno semed to fight with his hand very loose for a guard and he had the bow and arrow on his jab someone could easily time him. Need to watch more and just see if it was the highlights i was watching.
