hatton will be in his face and try put him under pressure for the 1st 6 rounds

by 7 the class difference will seriously tell

he will get ko'd in the 8th

    i don't deny that

and in the 1st few rounds it will be a dog fight

but eventually the difference in class will show and magic will sadly get stopped in the mid to late rounds

despite this i still think he could perhaps win a version of the welterweight title

depends on a few factors from both guys:

    defence
    chins
    power
    stamina
who has the better speed and movement coupled with better combinations.

i expect hatton to work the body a lot,to try go head body with his combinations.

he will be lighter and quicker,so he will probably box and move a bit,try to use angles and turn alverez a lot.

tbh, last fight i saw him in,alverez looked slow and really ordinary.
i do think he has decent power, and fairly solid fighter.

but he hasnt had any real test yet,not that hatton is REAL test, but hes a more live test.

Sorry but Hatton is gonna get steamrolled. This won't even be close! He works hard and has hit his limit, a good domestic/clash euro operator, but he'll be under pressure like never before and he will most lilely get blown away. But fair play, he's going there to give a good account of himself and try his best.

Just don't see this one being competative at all. Alvarez by brutal beatdown.

Early on, I can see a decent fight. But as far as seeing the final bell, I don't give Hatton much of a chance. That family should just stay in Europe; bad things happen to them here.

I mostly agree with the general concencous that Hatton will give it a good go for a few rounds before being overhelmed, being honest I think I'm not writing off Matthew due to Ricky and I obviously know thats not how boxing works, but I just have a slight feeling that if Matthew has the same personality traits as his bro and works his socks off completely for his big night he might be able to make it more competitive for a bit and its boxing so who knows. Head and heart say Alvarez but the heart can't help for the romantic in me pulling for Matthew to achieve his dream and step out of the shadow of Ricky with his own signature win.
