I personally do... not that i'm SUPER familiar with dropping weight but i've heard numerous trainers always say that if you sip a lot of water right after you hit the scale thats never a good sign.

Floyd has said in fight hype videos he never has to intake much water becuase he's comfortable aroudn the weight. Yesterday I saw maidana hitting a water bottle right before the stare down. I'm curious to see how the weight in this fight will come into play.

I personally think floyd is going to walk maidana down.

They all sip water off the scales. I can't think of any non-heavyweight that doesn't chug when he gets off the scales? Even guys who are coming in at 144 for a 147 fight are a bit careful about what they drink pre-fight.

Floyd was drinking as well, i guess he is f ucked as well. No seriously both were fine. maidana just never looks that refined. he will bring the heat though.

Erm....? yes you are looking into it too much

Most fighters IF NOT ALL are dehydrated at a weigh in LOL...

Problems start to occur when fighters havn't been eating properly for 5 days leading up to the weigh in and are severly dehydrated to the point where they may collapse (15-20 pounds is the extreme - Chavez, Rios & Broner all have been there)

Maidana will gain about 10 pounds...which isn't that serious.

To me he didn't looked really dehydrated. What surprised me was his lack of muscles. When you dehydrate muscles stands out more and you gain definition, Maidana looked soft and flabby, even with hanging fat in his mid section!

Floyd on the other hand looked dehydrated, his midsection was caved in and had an absurd definition in the 6 pack.

Last time they were equally big, but with floyd more ripped in the shoulders; this time Floyd is the bigger one, and is way more ripped and muscolar.

    Maidana always looks flabby...

The last time he had some definition was against Morales in 2011 @ 140.

i dont think he is. if he came in right at 147, i might start to wonder because that would mean that he was shedding weight right up to the time he stepped on the scales, but he came in at 146. also, maidana moved up to 147 as a full grown mature man so its not like he is a jr middle trying to fight at welter.

Has he ever looked great at a weigh-in, especially at Welterweight? He looks pretty-much the same to me.

Maidana is a C class fighter…he's been flabby for every single fight he's had at 147. This guy was dominated by devon alexander and went life and death with josesito lopez and Soto Karass - don't ever forget that. This is the required talent level that forces Mayweather to take rematches.

LOL at "mayweather walking maidana down" hahaha..going to be the same fight as last time with floyd doing a bit more running and bayless being way too active.

Bayless earns his living as a ref and gets good paydays (relative for a referee) working mayweather fights….better believe he's protecting this guy to keep getting the referrals. Honestly, can't blame him.

    BS fight.
