People say the fight between mosley-berto being off is a blessing in disguise and I think floyd-pac being off is also a blessing, with floyd being more money minded lately his only choice at a huge payday was against pac, personally I think if floyd-pac had happened mayweather would call it quits after that and would feel like retiring for he would seem other fights with less money as useless and not worth, and we all know no fight in boxing could generate more money today other than floyd-pac

Personally i think, if this 2 never fight at all that they'd go on a different route and floyd will likely have to challenge himself more and establish his legacy more at 147, floyd could go on to fight berto, cintron, bradley, williams at 147 or 154 after mosley and those would be more better for the fans than a single fight with pac.

Lets be honest about ourselves, cuz if floyd-pac happened and floyd wins he'd still get shitted for not fighting real welterweights, and fighters bigger than him, a resume composed of the names i listed above except pac of course would be a deep resume that would even surpass floyd's resume at 130 and 135.

Pac on the other hand is near retirement with all his business outside the ring, he'll probably go on to fight margo, and the winner of cotto-foreman after clottey and then retire for good, and no i don't think a fight with floyd-pac is still possible cuz both this guys have huge egos and neither would budge, floyd was more generous obviously with the 14-day window offer but lets not get to that discussion as i'm sick of it already.

sure may and pac are the 2 biggest names in boxing and the 2 best but pac just presents the same risk as mosley, I even think mosley and williams even present more risk than pac to floyd

They might still fight, but I'm not going to cry over Mayweather-Pacquaio in exchange for Pacquaio-Clottey and Mayweather-Mosley

if they fight, i would prefer it if they have fought everybody else before they fight, because if they fight right now I honestly don't think we'd get to see other fights, people will be content with pac though but not with mayweather because a lot of people **** at his resume at 147, if we get to see other fights with him his haters and critcs would stfu for good!!

It's not. PAC-Floyd should have been made for March 13 already at all cost.

One good thing for PAC when the negotiation fall apart is, Floyd and Mosley will be fighting in an eliminator on who PAC will fight next. PAC will face the winner of Floyd-Mosley.

On the other hand, I don't think Floyd will fight Clottey even if Clottey defeats PAC.

In the names i listed above as opponents for floyd, notice how i didn't include any TOP RANK fighters, floyd will not be fighting fighters in arum's stable in the future thats how i see it so it don't matter who wins between pac and clottey

PAC is also Top Rank so does this mean Floyd will not ever fight PAC because he's under Top Rank? Could be a new ducking demand.

you seem to be missing the point, i pointed out that i don't think floyd-pac would ever happen, being with top rank doesn't have anything to do with it but many people blame arum for this fight not happening but lets not get to that

I do. I've wanted to see Floyd prove himself against Shane for a long time. Hopefully that fight will get made. I am optimistic. Pacquiao vs. Clottey? That's a good fight too. It's not as big as Mayweather-Mosley in my opinion, but still a nice fight. Maybe if both Floyd and Manny win, they can get their business together and actually fight. Manny needs to man up and take the test.

I'm with you that PAC-Floyd looks near to impossible of happening but I think many people/fans will still demand a PAC-Floyd showdown especially if both wins their respective next fight. I hope I won't hear Floyd saying he won't fight PAC as long as PAC is under Top Rank.

I don't think so. With the money Mayweather was going to earn against Pac, he wouldn't have a need to keep on fighting. Add that to the fact that having Pacquiao on his resume would only increase his legacy and you have two pretty damn good reasons to retire.
