Who here thinks Tony Bellew can go all the way

To be honest i thought he did pretty well vs Clev.

his last fight taught me a lot about him as a fighter. He showed me that he has a lot of heart, smarts, and can adapt quickly.

I honestly think he is a world class fighter, but possibly at the bottom end of world class.

IMO he will win a title for sure.

He appears to be a real thinking fighter, so i also think he can improve his skills and will get better every fight.

Hes still growing as a fighter.

 

Thanks for all the comments, one thing is certain ill die trying and if I don't ill know deep down I gave it everything.. This next fight is a really hard fight and I'm gonna have to go the well cos I know Chilemba is a good well rounded fighter, I believe the most well rounded fighter I've faced in my career so far.. You don't get easy FINAL eliminators to be fair.. It's all on the line for me come March 30th.. Once again I wanna say thanks for the support, good and bad I read it all, at the end of the day everyone is entitled to an opinion, it's down to me to prove them right or wrong..

Have you watched any of this Chilemba bloke yet Tony? I've watched a few clips and from what I've seen so far I'd say his style and yours are actually pretty similar. Leads with his jab a lot but also throws a lot of hooks to back his opponent up.

It should be a great gel of styles which will make a good fight. :good

 

I've seen him, watched him for a few years, I genuinely believe he is the most complete fighter I've faced to date, this is a big test for me and he's someone I know I'm not going to just get rid of.. I'm going to the well in this fight but I'm prepared to do that knowing ill get a shot at the world title..:good

 

Not good enough! I remember Tony saying Chad Dawson was all wrong for him not so long ago! What's change? Please don't quote "blue print" he also has lost.

He lost to clev fair an square in his own back yard. Dawson destroys him. He's not good enough for that level.

 

We'll see eh.. Ill fight anyone, Dawson is the best at 175lbs so that's why I'm targeting him. Simple as that..

 

When you're in the ring with him on fight night Tony mate forget about about the potential title shot with Dawson. Just picture him with Luis Suarez's face. That alone should give you all the motivation you need to beat the living **** out of him.

Really looking forward to this fight and the bill in general, picking my tickets up next week. I've said it plenty of times before on here but these type of fights which are 50/50 or 60/40 at best in favour of one fighter are essential for contenders in the build up to World title fights. You don't want to be in Cleverly's position of almost learning on the job by taking experience fights when carrying the tag of World Champion.

Chilemba is no mug at all and presents a stiff test but I think his style blends well with Tony's and is one which he can shine in. I'm sure he'll land a few of his own along the way but his power is no more than respectable and that helps Bellew in that regard.

I think it will go 12 rounds and predict there being plenty of good action but Tony coming out with a clear enough decision. Dawson is another matter but he's by no means invincible, the same as Pascal. I'd like Tony to maybe have another fight before going for that fight, maybe against the Braehmer-Gutneckht winner but I can see him picking up a title in the near future.

If Tony can get the stoppage it will send a BIG message. This Chilemba bloke is no mug and is a good name, it would definitely make everyone else at LH sit up and take notice. I think Tony can knock him out if he attacks the right way. Forget trying to bomb him out with a big punch, stick to the boxing and slowly grind him down. Maybe he'll fold like Miranda did?

Just getting the win, regardless of how it comes, is the most important thing though. The world title awaits if Bomber can get past this last stumbling block.

 

The key point with Bellew always for me is to stick to the boxing behind the jab. He obviously has impressive power but it shines through better when he allows his work to flow in combinations and doesn't load up. The action can get messy when he looks for KO punches straight away (such as Ajisafe)but for me the McIntosh fight is the ideal blueprint for him to approach fights.
