    GGG no doubt!
Although Canelo defense, chin, speed and physical strength match and probably exceed that of GGG.
It makes the 24 rounds nip and tuck the whole way.

GGG. And he doesn’t need ‘tainted meat’ to crack like he does.

It depends how literally you mean power. I would actually say Canelo based on what "power" actually means. One fast, forceful punch, I think Canelo possesses the greater power there really.

Golovkin is a harder puncher in the sense that everyone of his punches are probably hurtful, stiff jab, straights, they all hurt when he throws them at people and that's how he wears people down fast.
    He's got hard/heavy hands

I'm not saying Golovkin doesn't possess power, incase anyone goes crazy and thinks I am.....all I'm saying is that power would mean the one able to generate the most force through a one time punch, and that'd be Canelo I think

I always thought that if the fight ended via KO, it would Canelo doing the punching. (He can crack and has an iron chin, while GGG has shown lapses in defense and stamina)

I wonder who actually has more 1 punch KO's. Golovkin flattened Macklin, Simon and Ishida. Alvarez flat lined Khan and Kirkland.
Man, 1 punch KO's are actually quite rare. (i mean KO's where guys don't get back up at all.)

theres no comparison. ggg by a mile. canelo has barely above average power at best, his only knckouts are against kirkland and khan, who have the worst chins in boxing.

Anyone that thinks Canelo punches harder than Golovkin should send me an egregious PM, which then I will reply with reciprocal force :deal:

Canelo isn't very hard hitting, though he has solid power. He's 11-1-1 with only 5 KO's in his last 13 fights. Shot Mosley, Trout, Floyd, Lara, Cotto, Chavez jr and GGG twice all went the distance.

But weaker guys like Khan and Kirkland were brutally KO'd. I'd give him a 7 in power.

Current GGG power probably 8 of 10.

I never get why people are so infatuated with power and who hits the hardest? Even the classic forum has these ad nauseam.

A fight is seldom if ever won on this alone? One fighter hits harder, but another carries power later into fights. One has more single shot power, another carries in combinations and has superior timing? One hits tremendously hard to the head occasionally another relentlessly works the body with repetitive thudding shots.

In this context I guess I would say that GGG has more single punch power, but that Canelo lands harder blows consistently? But I wouldn’t pick either guy based on how hard they punch, rather thier intangibles.
