Canelo didn’t take a single step backwards in the last fight. That would be typical of the fighter with more power when the opponent is a come forward fighter.

no, canelo did back off sometimes. itstrue that he landed more power punches 2nd time round, but when we are talking one shot power theres no question 3G can deliver more, if not land as often.

Caneloe beat Triple Duck twice. That's all you need to know.

Golovkin punches harder but if thats the case then should I have to say Canelo has the better chin?

Golovkin hits harder its pretty ****ing obvious.

Canelo has a good deal more speed and is accurate with his volleys.

Canelo's standout one punch KO is probably glass chin Khan.

Golovkin's standout one punch KO is of Ishida, who has fought at heavyweight and has never been KO'd other than that time with GGG.

Canelo's opponents aren't coming out of his fights with broken faces, ribs, eye sockets on a consistent basis.

to be fair, Ishida is a career long super welter before moving up, the HW stuff is next to nonsense value, although khan is still always division below him in weights.

Again to be fair on the other side of it, khan has proven world level ability with real world title wins (altohugh its now been a while since hes displayed it), Ishida is proven national level title winner with no real world title wins, thats a large gulf.

its a terrible comparison to compare a national level with a world title winner level - 3G doesnt need that to prove he is a ko artist. Your comparison makes him look NOT like a KO artist!

Clenelo has the bigger variety of punches.

Golovkin is the heavier handed guy.

Both are aesthetically pleasing to the eye when they fight.

Clearly Golovkin. Golovkin gave an iron chinned but smaller 154 pounder a severe beating, when he stopped Ouma. Clenelo fought, old shopworn 140 pound N'Dou, and N'Dou was eating Canelo's best shots like morning flap jacks with butter and syrup. How does such a smaller man walk through Clenelo's shots like that. Same way Angulo did. Clenelo has power, but it's good power, not Golovkin type power. And before anyone pulls Balomir out of their ass. He was clearly paid to take a dive. We are supposed to believe all of a sudden that the pedophile with the iron chin all of a sudden gets KO'd by a guy wearing Winning Gloves? I don't think so. Golovkin also beat up and stopped the durable Murray, while Clenelo is taking three rounds to KO an absolutely shot Kirkland, who feather fisted Ishida, jab TKO'd in one round.

But you could also ask, if Golovkin hit so hard, then why was the smaller Canelo Alvarez who just moved to a new weight division, able to walk through multiple flush punches from Golovkin? Doesn't that SERIOUSLY expose Golovkin's punching power to be SERIOUSLY suspect and questionable? Canelo made Golovkin's power look like it belonged in the feather weight division, when he literally came forward and took Golovkin's best punches like candy in their 2nd fight.
