I'm not talking about 165lbs Haney or huge weight bully Lopez - both of whom Loma beat (I'll accept a draw for the latter), one of which he beat with one arm and dodgy shoulders.

Is anyone else beating guys who are two, maybe three weight classes bigger than them naturally? Has anyone historically and consistently done this? I don't even recall so called "legend" boxers beating guys naturally bigger than them (apart from Tyson, Holyfield, Usyk (soon to be) ). I guess Duran beat the bigger and prime Leonard

I’ve never seen such denial and excuses from a boxing fan base before. Loma was and is an exceptional talent, but he clearly lost the Lopez fight. The Haney fight I felt he arguably won. It’s time to move on.

These guys are off the chart. They cry robbery in the Lopez fight. I asked several times for these guys to post their real time scores right after the fight and nobody has ever responded. Guys saying Loma beat Lopez 10-2. POST IT!!! Crickets.

My guess is Teofimo, Salido and Haney.

    Yeah no he didn’t.

Loma won rounds 2,6, 7-11, and thus the fight. The only denial and delusion is from those who didn’t watch the rounds properly. Loma cleanly outlanded Lopez in rounds 2 and 6, rounds many that were given to Lopez by those who weren’t watching closely, and rounds which would have had made it at least a draw.

Ringside Ward and Crawford gave these rounds to Loma for very good reasons

I’ve been through rounds 2 and 6 countless times you helmet, I believe it was you or someone you agreed with in that thread who were crediting Lopez for not landing clean punches (ie arms gloves etc)

I recall Orlando Salido beating his ass a bit. Who beats a prime Rigo at Rigo's best weight? If Linares is catching him bad, I think a featherweight Pacman would hurt him. Lomachenko doesn't have a huge basis for historical greatness at any weight for me. Love Lomachenko but if you expand him out to history he is a 2 division fighter with 17 wins and 3 losses. It's good but it isn't like I would favor him to beat Barrera or Arguello.

Pacman at 126, and JMM have the best shots at beating him clean. Sacheato lowblowed his way to victory, but it's still a win. Too bad he ducked a rematch with Loma.

Please move on, Lopez clearly won the fight. I have watched the fight several times and I see simply no argument for robbery. Lopez was the better man and Loma shot himself in the foot with a slow start. Please stop making excuses.

I don’t wanna insult anyone but these Loma fans are perhaps the most deluded in the entire sport.

Regarding Loma, I too thought he comfortably beat Haney but he definitely lost to Teo................that was an easy fight to score.

    part 2 of question:
Roy. He most assuredly was not a LHW despite spending most of his career there. A 5'11 LHW that started at JMW. Roy would actually be dwarfed by a number of current MW's.

    Also:
Pac (we aren't gonna see a rise in weight classes like that ever again)
Floyd (only went to JWW for Zab and Sharmba and WW still chasing Zab money, there really wasn't a reason for Floyd to go above LW let alone to JMW)
