Just came across this video and wondered. Golota is one of the few, if not the only guy (other than Holyfield) who can say he fought Bowe, Lewis and Tyson. Has he ever stated who hit him the hardest?? Crappy quality video...but funny [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmF33npl3I8&feature=related[/ame]
I don't know who hit Golota the hardest, Lewis stopped him, whereas Tyson dropped him, shattering his cheekbone & eye socket, then Andrew quit before getting brutally stopped. On a related note, i have the real Francois Botha as a friend on Facebook, & i asked him "Who hit you the hardest; Lewis, Tyson or Wlad?" & his reply was "Tyson definitely".
Boxinginsider.com:You took Tyson’s best shot and got up. Heaviest punch you felt? Andrew Golota: “I don’t know. He’s some fighter. Basically, there’s (a theory that) some people that can’t take a punch. I don’t think so. Some people are wrongly hit. If you hit your hand on somebody’s jaw – nobody should stand up. You know what I mean? Same with everybody else.” That's about all I could come up with. It's funny though, in every interview I've read, Golota has basically praised Riddick Bowe as the toughest guy he ever saw. When asked why he hit Bowe below the belt, he told the interviewer "because the son of a b*tch would not go down".
