I'd buy that Morrison was the hardest puncher of that group. Not the best, but the hardest.

Shavers would of been too little to be competitive as a heavyweight today, however he would be a good cruiserweight

Nearly half of the guys Shavers fought weighed less then 200 lbs, nearly 75% Corrie Sanders fought weight more then 225. Some of you people are stuck in the past.

I would go with Shavers, but once Sanders got a bead on a guy? It was like a rapid fire dual cannon. Sanders was an AMAZING finisher.

After carefully reading all responses I can definitely say that Sanders has much more solid claim at being the greatest puncher than Shavers.

Shaver's KO performance is based on koing cruisers, he only fought 23 genuine heavyweights and KO'd only 11 of them, for an unimpressive 47.8% KO ratio

    :-(

And interestingly enough, Shavers almost never managed to knock out any of the legends that praised his supposedly humongous power

I dont buy that Shavers hits harder than Tyson for a second, **** what Holmes' says, he got up from Shavers' bombs, and defeated him twice, they fought like 22 rounds, but he didn't last 4 against Tyson.

It's true what they say, boxers tend to praise more those fighters whom they managed to beat, just so they themselves can look more G
