Well, compared to whom? Dr. Steelhammer? Peter's gotta be the 2nd bigger puncher Chambers ever faced. I mean, who else would even be in the running? Povetkin? Brock? Guinn? Rossy? Puritty? Dimi? Freaking Adamek? Nah. I'm a big Fast Eddie fan but he can only claim to have ever faced two nightmarish punchers and Sam is one of 'em.
Peters power was all hype just like his boxing ability. Fools are too gullible here. Haye would of knocked Toney out cold.
The power wasn't hyped. The boxing ability was. (especially after Toney II) I was always circumspect toward the latter (and annoyed by his bandwagon), but never doubted in the former for a moment. He absolutely wouldn't have. Maybe the doddering Toney of late, who got rocked by the likes of Matthew Greer and Bobby Gunn...but not of 2006/7. Stopping Toney would take some doing, even bloated and beyond shot. Lebedev fought a nearly lamed Toney and didn't manage.
Peter hits harder but is very crude and Haye sets his punches much better up and hits faster which makes it easier to ko someone Peter hits probably harder if you just measure the force
The question isn't who the better overall fighter is. It's "who hit harder". If you think it's Haye, fine (you'd be wrong, but whatever) but to suggest that he's so far ahead of Peter in power as to make it laughable to compare them...that's a concerning level of delusion, lad.
Peter from the Wlad fight and before was a pure ko puncher. Post Wlad he wasn't the same. I even picked Chambers to beat him Eddie got him when he was past it. Peter nearly stopped Wlad Haye couldnt do ****. Has good power, but Hayes power way overrated.
Hilenius was more rocked by Chisora than he was by Peters. I undoubtedly see any version of Toney being ambushed by a hayemaker and failing to beat the 10 count. The Holyfield he beat was completely shot and powerless.
Well, Haye also has a "before and after" delineation... His power after moving up to HW is definitely overrated.
Peter was knocking people out with wide ass telegraphed punches. Imagine if Peter had Hayes speed and accuracy on top of his raw power. He'd hit WAY harder than Haye
Not really comparable. Peter was nowhere close to as prime as Chisora when they met Helenius. Del Boy is also very heavy-handed. (but doesn't have anything like the raw kick of a prime Sam Peter)
As much as I dislike Toney, you're as gullible as can be here. Who knocked Toney out cold ever in his career?, Haye sure as hell wouldn't have.
Yet you think he will knock Toney out cold. You must be drunk, we behave similarly under the influence, I'll give you that.
