You saw how Duran almost took his head with that hook in the 1st fight:admin:lol:

On a real note, obviously we know Duran has twice as more K.O. than Leonard
70 compared to 25, with the difference being that Duran had 54 at lightweight compared to Leonards 19 at welter.

    I pick Duran:good

Duran hit harder both pound 4 pound and at welter than leonard. Durans power was more pure than leonards, who's power was more generated by speed.

In their first fight duran rocked leonard, who had a very sturdy chin, and leonard was never able to do the same to duran, even though he landed many good punches.

Duran was a puncher and could box.
Leonard was a boxer with alot of speed.
Guys that punch that fast are not punchers.
Most of Leonards knockouts were a result of hitting his opponents with very fast punches that they could not see.
Those punches are more dangerous than harder punches that you can see.
Duran had speed to but not like Leonard.

Answer : Duran hit harder (alot harder)

In that case, Willie Pep was a harder hitter P4P than Julian Jackson. After all, Pep had 65 KO's while Jackson had just 49.

Duran at lightweight of course. he was also a better lightweight than Leonard was at welterweight. He was also better than Leonard in Leonard's own division.

Sorry if I didnt tell you something you didnt want to know but I'm just telling the truth.

Imagine if Duran was younger and a natural welter. He wouldn't have any competition

I havent read any other comments, sometimes I prefer not to......

I voted for Duran at LWT, both men could hit & usually took you out with well placed accumulative shots but Roberto scored more 1 punch KOs, even Leonard`s best WWT KO of Dave Green came at the end of a combo tho any sensible person knows it was THAT left hook that put him out.

Duran could actually match power with Leonard up at 147 so I voted `Duran at LWT`..... Duran for me.

    :good

I'm not good at shutting up. Leonard is very overrated like his chin.

Mostly agree, except with the part that Duran hit a lot harder. The prime Duran was a skilled boxer grinder type with a style made for getting knock outs.

    Leonard never fought that way.

Duran. When it came right down to it, while Leonard could indeed punch, his game was mostly about speed and skill. And since Duran was dominant at his natural LW division for so long, KOing so many opponents, I must give him the edge.
