Who hit harder for their size, Mike Tyson or Roberto Duran?

Mike Tyson. How many top fighters did Duran ko in the 1st round

 

Tyson has the first round knockouts and the way he dropped Botha was crazy, but Tyson never sent anyone across the ring like Duran did to Moore

 

Tyson hit harder he was more explosive and had more early KO's against known opposition than Duran did.

I was reading through this thread BTW, and i don't know if the poster William is still active ? but i don't think Duran is the hardest hitting Lightweight of all time. For me fighters like Edwin Rosario, Alexis Arguello, hit harder than Duran for one punch power. Even fighters like Diego Corrales, Shane Mosley, Andy Ganigan, were pretty big punchers at Lightweight.

Duran was a good puncher at Lightweight, but didn't quite have explosive one punch power like some of the other Lightweights had.

 

Tyson, you have to really consider that Tyson's frame was effectively that of an overly muscular SMW/LHW and yet he's considered one of the most devastating punchers in history at HW

(hell, regardless of weightclass).

I think the answer is fairly obvious because the work he did............aint been duplicated.

 

Some claim Duran WAS Tyson’s size in the five months between Leonard fights, lol.
