I think Bruno could potentially have hit harder but he was usually inhibited by his stiff fighting style whereas Foreman really went for it. So Foreman is my guess.
Their power is different. Bruno had more one punch snap type of power if landed correctly broke something but only at a certain level. Foreman had the type of power if it didn’t break you it moved you. Considering George mostly threw arm punches and at a higher level he is definitely the more effective. And don’t forget George put huge dents in heavy bags. Hope my comments make sense. Know what I mean?
I'll go with the consensus opinion and say Big George was the harder puncher. However the gap between these two warriors's punching-power isn't as big as a lot of folks think. Frank obviously wasn't in the same class as Foreman but the Londoner could punch like hell. Many of Bruno's opponents were very complimentary about the power of his punches.
George Foreman is the hardest puncher in history (yea harder than Shavers too). And he really didn't even punch correctly in his younger incarnation and still used to melt guys. Imagine younger Foreman with proper technique and snap...........Jesus
Well i sure as hell would not volunteer, to be the target for both of them to hit to get a definitive answer to the question. In fact only one would get opportunity to hit me, unless the second one were to be hitting me in the back of the ambulance, as i was en route to the emergency room in a state of deep unconsciousness, courtesy of the first fighters grey cell rattling punch.
Its gonna be close either way. Bruno certainly could have hit harder, not being as good a fighter does not mean he could not hit like a freakin' Mac Truck. Too difficult to tell-old George likely did not hit quite as hard as prime Bruno. Yes different types of power. However Foreman was more efficient with his power than folks think-nobody can really just throw "arm punches" amongst the hardest in history. His delivery system was unconventional, but its not like his best shots had say no torso rotation.
Very difficult to determine. I agree with a poster who said that they both had very different power. Bruno was probably better at scoring actual knockouts where George just clobbered people either to submission or an intervention stoppage. Either way they both hit extremely hard.
