Who Hit Harder Lewis Or Tyson?

I do not obtain anything of this forum, because only there are idiots who do not know **** ,. or people with average knowledge.

To me the Botha fight really gives Tyson the edge.

Botha had a decent chin and was put down flush by a single right hand from Mike Tyson.

That had power

I wouldn't say Tyson by far. His left hook I'd say is a harder shot than Lewis' but both fighters right hands are pretty close. Lewis' jab is a lot stiffer, harder punch based on his style. Lewis used the jab a lot more to create distance and set up his shots. Tyson used more head movement to generate openings, especially the double hook shots and the double slips. Still, they're both pretty close in power.

The only guys I'd place ahead of Tyson and Lewis are Foreman, Liston and Earnie Shavers.

For single punch raw power, i'll go with Lennox's right.
However, Tyson's right & left are very close behind & both ahead of Lennox's left:

1. Lewis right
2. Tyson right
3. Tyson left

4. Lewis left

Overall combined power: Tyson.

I hope that makes sense.

 

I'd say Tyson hits harder, but he's not in a different league or anything. It's pretty close.

What makes me pick Tyson is that he used his entire body and huge, tree trunk, legs--with excellent form and follow-through. That is where serious power is generated from.

I don't think you could ever go against Tyson, ever. Even if someone was pointing a gun towards your head asking you who would win prime versus prime- Tyson or Lewis (And you know if you answer Tyson you die). Well, let's just hope this never happens to you.
