Who hit hardest at heavyweight

Sorry to keep spamming this post but it is an interesting discussion.

On review my ranking in order would go like this.
1. Foreman
2. louis
3. Shavers
4. Tyson
5. dempsey
6. Wlad
7. Lewis
8. Marciano
9. Liston
10 Baer

You have some other guys to consider, Frazier, Wills, Jeffries, etc. I feel good about my 1-6 though.

I would probably put Marciano above Wlad but thats it

 

Solid list.
I wouldn't rate tyson as high though. And as far as 1 punch power goes I wouldn't pick Foreman as #1, louis deserves the spot much more.

Foreman for me........... U could see his punches coming but even his glancing blows knocked u out......sumthing shavers/tyson not wlad ever did.

 

no doubt....oh ya he knock out phil jackson with one punch.....but then again jeremy williams knocked out phil jackson with a jab:--(

It may be a bit bias with Tyson that high as his power was derived from his speed as much as his natural strength. I suppose had I been alive when Dempsey was doing the same thing, but even more often I would likely have dempsey higher.

But, when I was growing up and boxing myself Tyson was just ****ing flattening guys!!

 

To all the people who say that Wlad doesn't even belong on this list, that is just plain dumb.
I see how people say that Wlad knock people out late. He does do it though. I dont think that all of them did it in the first round either.
Also to say that Wlad does it late always is not accurate. He has 10 KOs after RD6, and 38 inside 6. So definitely he has power. Also you could argue why he doesnt KO people earlier these days is because of the change is his style. Before Steward he KO'd people early and far more impressive. Now he does it late but still impressive.
I agree to put him in number one is wrong, but he definitely deserves a spot in the top 5.

Hows bruno not in there punch for punch ino he was up there as being hardest punch in the world at 1 stage also herbie hide should be in there also

 

YOU OBV NEVR SAW WAT A TYSON GLANCINg blow done to trevor berbick wen he was only 20yrs old and many glacing tyson shots had men dwn even if fear played a part also

 

tyson's power derived from accuracy.
And I'm not sold out on dempsey. He knocked out willard with loaded gloves(even though every one did back then). I want to see him knocking someone out in modern gloves.
