Who hit the hardest - Tyson or Foreman?

that was more of an invective against tyson than anything.
fair enough,but it wasnt the theme of the thread.

 

Foreman hit much harder but Tyson was quicker.

apart from the fight where Moorer possibly took a dive, who else did Foreman knock out? He ddin't dent the likes of Morrison and Briggs...hardly known for iron chins.

Some unknown guy named Joe Frazier.

 

Show me one case in Foreman's career where he did the kind of physical damage to someone that Tyson did to Golota. Off a single punch he did tremendous damage to Golota's face and neck.

It has to be Tyson.

 

Moorer suffered 13 stitches in his mouth from that punch. Wasn't a dive. Morrison and Briggs survived because they kept moving. If Tommy or Briggs would've fought the way Moorer did they'd been knocked out.
Tyson didn't knock out Tucker, Bonecrusher, Lewis, Douglas, Green, Mc Bride, Danny Williams or Tillis. And they had been knocked out by other people.

 

If you had them both up against a punching machine that calculated energy i think i would favour the better delivery of Tysons punches.

Mike's power is either overrated or underrated by most posters on here, his fanbase is huge here, some of them have gone away now though.
Mike has small arms, and due to that, his leverage isn't as good as say Lewis or Foreman's.. but he had mean balance and coordination back in the days, he probably wasn't in Foreman's league, but he damn well was in Lewis league.
Leverage is a key thing in power, Tyson had enough leverage to lay anyone out.. but he had a few other attributes that made him a very dangerous puncher, he had speed and velocity, he had superior waist movement, he twisted his waist like none other at heavyweight, and generated good power.

As far as I am concerned, Mike probably didn't punch as hard as Foreman with one punch, but he could put a combination together flawlessly and had top notch coordination, something Foreman didn't have.

 

Who did Foreman knockout? Quite a long list of bums including Frazier, Chuvalo, Norton, Cooney and Lyle who knocked Foreman on his ass a couple of times. But lets face it they were nothing but bums!
