AA for me. I hope that he fight more in the US now since the superfights are mostly held in the US. He is not that young anymore so better make his move now.

Not fair Pipe you are not giving the credit he deserves, quit and abraham in one sentence? I respectfully disagree with your post, fine, he was about to quit trying to force a win, knowing he was in there against a monster puncher with his broken jaw, but after he found out he would lose, he went on, and actually made the fight happen, take a look at round 9. So he did not quit, quit is Marquez, quit is Rubio, NOT abraham not ever!

My point is this is a mater of fact, not opinion. There is little basis to make a 'true' decision on. The only real basis is the one common opponent. Miranda. And even that doesn't tell the story. KO is about more than how hard someone hits. No? After Pavlik/Rubio, Rubio's forehead was pretty marked up. What would have happened if those punches landed on the chin instead of the forehead? The OP has been making 'lets hate Pavlik threads' since Saturday's fight. Why? Who cares. This is just another one.

Notice I have never said Pavlik hits harder than Abraham or vice versa. I'm just saying we don't have the evidence. Indeed, in this context, you have to define "harder". Pounds per sqaure inch? KO ratio? Punches per KO?

Again. You don't get to vote on facts. Period. Only a fool would not see this.

Had the ref not stopped that fight for two minutes while he decided it could have ended differently right there and then also. Let's not forget that. Terrible officiating from that ref on several counts.

it's not only opinions, it's empirical assessment as well: like in tennis you can see who servers harder, roddick or nadal, without the mph display. it's similar in boxing, you can see who has snap in his punches and the way the opponent reacts when he is hit. based on that pavlik is no hearns or julian jackson, abraham has almost beheaded opponents with single shots, so that award goes to him.

I am sorry but the footage does not lie .. there is no debate possible.
And btw i did not imply that you stated that it was a elbow, i know you merely pointed out that there was doubt.

Only thing i did was proving the doubt was based on nothing.

I edited that post at the end if you have time to go back and look. I gave full credit to AA for the guttsiest performance I've seen in YEARS.

Oh...BTW...about Ayala and the forearm/Elbow KO, heres just one. I'll find a few more if you guys need them:

Plenty more where that came from, just saying...

You're right, If AA didn't quit there, he never will. But IMO, so will Pavlik. He'd have to be down and damn near dead for that to happen.

People can only make a wild guess on this or can make a choice depending on their leanings. :D

The fact is . . . both fighters doesn't have a one punch KO power and stops opponents after beating them up . . . meaning accumulation of punches.

Right at the top, convenient enough. I read several accounts of this, and please understand I know Ayala was toast anyways and it really doesn't matter. But with the way he fell face first, people make out like AA hit him with an atomic bomb.

Actually i am wrong .... you did falsely state that it was elbow even though it was not.
Watch the footage at 1.48 .. glove hits face .. Ayala goes KO... case closed.

    Stop spreading lies.

You keep quoting sources and opinions yet keep denying simple proof ?
Are you the type of person that thinks the moon landing was fake too ?

Don't you believe what your eyes show you if you watch the vid?

It was _clearly_ a KO without using the elbow.

I hate to watch utube cuz the video is so crappy. Looks like a clear 'double' hit to me in that. Hand followed by elbow/forearm. You stopped watching too soon.

I keep quoting sources, yes, not opinions, but reports from people that reported on the fight. Ayala lost, would have lost any ways, and didn't belong in the ring with AA to start with. So I'll just let it go, it's not important to me.
