I think it's very close, but I do think Wilder has slightly more raw power. I think AJ's aggressiveness makes him seem more (Mike) Tysonesque than Wilder though.
bollox,Wilder hit Duhopless for 8 rounds and he stood up,do you think for one minute hes gonna last longer than a round with Anthony?.
I noticed an obsession on tonight's broadcast with power, but what good is it if it doesn't land? David Haye's call that Joshua would end fury in two rounds was way off.
Joshua and wilder, 2 best hw fighter's we've had in what, forever ? Seriously, joshua is the greatest hw talent I've ever seen. He is the ggg of the hw division, but ggg doesn't have the wilder wildcard. Wilder on any given night , any given round and any given second can completely remove any human, any human ever, from their senses. Not probable, but wilder is truly the only hw of the past many decades that could find the shot to beat Joshua. Wilder being all wild and long gives him a shot vs anyone, anywhere anytime
Not sure why people are taking issue with that. It's hardly an insult, just going from what I've seen and from people who have fought or sparring with the guys. Wilder is way up there but Joshua Povetkin and Parker hit harder.
Duhaupas may very well have the best chin in boxing. Wilder has faced a lot more contenders than Joshua at this stage, because he's been around a lot longer. Joshua is facing top guys a lot quicker than Wilder did, but that's beside the point. Let's see if Joshua faces some toppish guys known for their chin, then you may have more ammunition to say he's got more power. Still, even then I think it may be his aggressive method of boxing that may lead to a different result. At the end of the day, only stupid haters are going to say one is clearly more powerful than the other. They have both demonstrated tremendous punching ability with near perfect ko records. Real boxing fans can appreciate that and speculate on who may have the slight edge and why, and leave the brain dead haters to say one is **** and the other gold.
WIlder's power is grossly overrated. It's easy to knock out the pathetic tomato cans he's fought. Joshua looks like the real deal to me. He'd annihilate Wilder right now.
