I feel Sosa hits harder than benn. I remember there was this boxer named lenzie morgan. This guy is known to be a tough and durable boxer and he actually was never stopped, not until he fought the heavy hitter merqui sosa. No one was able to stop morgan except sosa for the time. Even though he's record showed that andrew maynard stopped him by TKO, the commentator said that sosa was the only boxer to actually hurt him. Before morgan fought sosa, he already fought nigel benn and his boxing record says that it was just a UD win.
Benn didn’t attempt to KO Morgan - he boxed him behind a jab believe it or not, which was outrageous considering Morgan was 6ft3 or so. I can see Sosa’s winging overarm ragged arm shots having much more success against such a huge tall guy as fire-scarred Lenzie. Benn hit harder than Sosa.
Morgan was robbed against former world champ Tiozzo in his fight prior to Benn by the way, and it was said Tiozzo should still of been champion at the time. Poorly managed
Sosa sparred with Watson at the Lonsdale Gym in London and with Eubank at Gleasons Gym in New York. Both in 1987 just before Sosa turned pro. Watson and Eubank both say Benn hit them harder than anyone in their life.
@mark ant You know I think this guy is gonna take your title for most threads per week. In your prime you almost filled the entire front page daily now not so much. Do you have all the answers you desire oh wise Antman? Also your underrated and a great meme on the forum (no insult) You provoke interesting thought and actually watch the fights you’re talking about.
Benn-Morgan was during that period under new trainer Graham Moughton where Benn was attempted to be turned into a ****ing boxer (no ****)! It backfired badly against Malinga, so he dropped Moughton and went with the aggressive Jimmy Tibbs who brought him back.
Benn without doubt. Sosa was good with fast hands and nasty combinations, but for one punch power Benn would take your head off and bounce it off the wall like a squash ball.
Nooo, this couldn't possibly be Mark Ant, look at the big nose, bushy moustache and rubbery looking glasses. He looks nothing like that, I tell you.
