Let's send this one down to Serge Laboratories for some rigorous scientific analysis and see what comes up

Usyk weighs 221 pounds. 223lbs max

J-Park weighs 267lbs now and has usually been been between 240-245 bare minimum other than once or twice during the last 9 years and he's come in between 250-255 a bunch of times more recently

Fighters he has failed to stop

Chisora - only stopped x 4, 2 on mercy stoppage
    FA - stopped x 2
    Massey - stopped x 1
    AJ - stopped x 2
    Whyte - stopped x 3
Hughie - never dropped or stopped
    The Dosser - stopped x 3
    Takam - stopped x 5
    Big Bang - stopped x 1
    Cojanu - stopped x 4
    Fat Andy - never stopped
    Sherman Williams - stopped x 1
Brice Ritani Coe - never stopped

The Dosser, Fa, Takam, Whyte, Cojanu are either very chinny, chinny, a but chinny

Fighters Usyk has failed to stop

Briedis - never dropped or stopped
    AJ - stopped x 2
    Belly - never stopped
Gassiev - never dropped or stopped
Chisora - only stopped x 4, 2 on mercy stoppage
Hunter - never dropped or stopped
    Glowacki - stopped x 3

    Briedis is iron-jawed
    Gassiev is iron-jawed
    Hunter is iron-jawed
Chisora whilst he's been KO'd twice has a excellent chin

Belly is chinny for KDs but very tough when it comes to not being stopped or KO'd
AJ has a pretty good chin, only KO'd x 1 by a savage puncher with a KO95%, dropped by savage puncher Wlad. Dropped numerous times by Fat Andy who can crack
Glowacki has only been stopped by huge punchers but a couple of times when he was done

Conclusion: Usyk not only hits harder P4P than J-Park but he hits harder period and he would KO everyone J-Park couldn't stop in a round sans the common opponents he shares with him

I think Usyk has underrated power and that tit for tat they are likely near eachother, but I would imagine that Parker can hit harder than Usyk when he really wants to load up for power.

Out and out single punch power, I'm giving it to Parker.

Voted Usyk but honestly when I think about it he’s just better at stopping people than Parker, he doesn’t actually have more power

If we're talking purely punching power, it is Parker.

Usyk scores knockdowns and knockouts because he has exceptional timing; that does not mean he punches harder than Joseph Parker.

Agree. Parker may hit harder but Usyks ring IQ certainly makes up for it.

It's a little disingenuous to include cruiserweights to bolster Usyk when the conversation is about two heavyweights Serge.

I like Usyk as much as most, but he's barely knocked anyone out himself. If we consider a mutual opponent Parker dropped Chisora 3x whereas Usyk barely dented him.

True . This analysis is just promoting his hero . In his entire hw career usyk only ko'd dubois , and this ko from a soft jab was VERY dubious dubois but nevertheless - a ko .

Usyk has in his hw legacy 8 fights with 1 ko .

Parker has in his hw legacy 39 fights with 24 ko,s .

Everybody can google that this is the shocking truth .

Uysk can definitely punch, he just doesn't always sit on his shots. Look at what he did to Bellew and despite Fury being easy to knockdown, usyk came the closest to stopping him, certainly since round 9

It's a misconception that usyk isn't a big puncher. Sure he's not Tyson or Foreman, but he can bang

I generally love your analysis Serge, but the problem with comparing records is that it doesn't just compare power - it also compares timing, the ability to land punches cleanly, to set a high pace to tire out your opponent (e.g. Dubois stoppage was accummulation + tiredness), willingness to push for a KO rather than coasting to a points win, etc.

I'm pretty sure Parker punches harder when both load up, simply due to being bigger and heavier. If you compare Chisora fights Parker's power was definitely more of a deterrent to Chisora coming forward. I don't think that comes close to compensating for Usyk's other strengths though - timing and combinations etc. more than make up for it. I probably give Parker less chance against Usyk than 80% of this forum, but he does have at least a puncher's chance given Usyk's age.

Don't shoot the messenger. I sent the data, and we have to submit ALL the data, down to the laboratory to be subjected to the most rigorous scientific analysis by a team of the world's preeminent scientists and then I simply shared the results on here when they came back to me.

Usyk is a CW and one of the opponents who J-Park failed to stop is CW Jack Massey

Usyk has better chin than his HW victims Belly, AJ and Dubois and I mean literally not just P4P

Briedis has a better chin than many of the HW victims and opponents of J-Park I mentioned

    Same goes for Hunter

J-Park was dropped by Chisora, Usyk wasn't despite weighing like 40lbs less than him

I'm not knocking J-Park. As I keep saying, I've been a fan of his for a long time and I think he's an absolute gent. And I've been praising his mandibular fortitude for a long time even though he's been knocked down numerous times and knocked out once

And I pointed out before the Bakole fight that this new 267lb J-Park might be hitting harder than ever before.

If Usyk fought The Dosser, Whyte, Cojanu, Takam, FA (he did fight him in the WSB and FA was backing off, looking concerned and was clearly feeling the weight of Usyk's shots) I would be very confident that he would stop some of them. But maybe J-Park would stop some of the opponents Usyk didn't stop too though.

Thanks. Yes I agree with all of this. People seemed to have missed the part where I said that Usyk would KO1 all the J-Park opponents J-Park failed to stop except the ones that he fought too

Yes, I've been telling people this for years, like way before he actually moved up to HW

Here he is stopping a 280lb HW in the WSB and the Italian is pretty tough and had at least 65lbs on Usyk IIRC

He punches harder p4p than Floyd, who can punch more than he is getting credit for

If usyk couldn't punch? Aj would have likely walked through him, no matter how much skill he has

Definitely a very solid puncher and an underrated part of his game. His knockout if bellew was vicious
