The last of those fights was 10 years ago atsch Vitali hasn't had an early KO, or even a mid-rounds KO since he came back from retirement, unless you REALLY want to clutch at straws and suggest Solis.
Of course he has big power when he puts everything into a shot, FFS man he's 6"7 250lbs of chiseled muscle. Congrats on mentioning Hide when trying to backup a fighters one punch power, way to shoot yourself right in the foot, reeks of desperation. On what evidence do Johnson and Norris constitute Vitali having massive power, id fully expect Vitali to stop them early. Norris had already been stopped twice previously, Johnson has done nothing to suggest he's more than a journeyman.
The thread title is 'who hits harder', not 'who used to hit quite hard'. Besides, when was Vitali's prime exactly? When he was getting his face amputated by old fat Lewis or maybe Johnson in his very next fight? Maybe it was when he quit against Byrd? Are we talking chin prime? Enquiring minds want to know.
His prime was circa 98-99, Brittard, in my opinion. His punches have lost some velocity with age, that is not in doubt. But prime for prime to suggest Haye has more pop is not demonstrated by his crappy mostly cw resume. And nice tko6 angle, you ******.
I started this thread so i'll throw out another question. Who would you rather take a punch from now in a fight - Haye or Vitali? I know the answer is neither, but if you had to pick one.
Differenr type of punchers. Vitali has those very forceful clubbing shots and even today I would bet he is far stronger than Haye. Haye has very sharp, accurate and fast shots. But Vitali is no doubt stronger.
This gets better and better Which parts of 1998 and 89 was he prime? When he was 14-0? When he was feasting on journeymen like Jose Ribalta and Julius Francis? Strange that he suddenly exited his prime in his very first fight in 2000 huh?
Id much rather take a punch from Vitali, at least i would see it coming. Haye punches so much quicker from odd angles. Getting hit by a shot that you dont see is so much more damaging.
Vitali throws mostly arm punches he hit harder before his back and knees were damaged but nowadays he's throwing armpunches. Haye hits harder than old Vitali and maybe even harder than prime Vitali
Klittards means klitschko haters.... Vitali wasn't even in prime when he fought LL, and he fought very stupidly, boxing-wise talking. Lennox knew that, and he retired ranting about Vitali for years later.... the Lennox whose best "win" is a robbery in a fight that just celebrated Vitali's thoughness.
You forgot that without running like a ***** all night long Haye wouldn't have broke his crystal toe, but he would have kissed the canvas.... Wanna talk about the times Wlad still managed to get too close and Haye's choice has been to roll on the floor like Lara Croft to avoid his shots?
