that's actually what wlad DOES have at the TOP level too. how is it you see the opposite of the truth?
on your planet K yes, but to everyone else they were prime contenders that he easily dealt with in returns. And that because lennox didn't defend against failed fatties and nobodies, not because he defended against failed retirees and journeymen. wlad fought them.... AND LOST to them AND then ran in fear from them. The difference could not be more palpable. yeh end of you pretending that polar opposites are the same thing.
Wlad throws 3 punches: The jab, lead hook and cross. That's it. While Foreman wasn't necessarily a technical marvel he threw every punch in the book to the head and body, often with deadly results.
Wlad is a robot I don't think i've ever seen him throw a hook to the body...or fight inside. Right cross to the body is about as advanced as he gets. Fury could see every punch he threw coming.
Indeed Foreman is Shannon Briggs size and the last time I checked, Briggs was a big unit of a guy Heck Old George still looks big even today and I bet he still has raw power too.
Different types of power but both are huge punchers. Foreman was probably more of a strength based puncher and not always as technically sound as Wladimir. Wladimir has that snapping type power. Foreman also had a bigger ****nal of shots. He threw body shots and uppercuts which Wladimir has never really done. I just count them both as among the best punchers ever along with Lewis,Tyson,Shavers etc
Back in the 60's and 70's the goal of a heavyweight wasn't to be as big as possible. Heavyweights wanted to be lean. Unlike today where the lean guys are 235-245. Foreman was in his prime 218-225. That was then. If he fought today he'd be 235-240 easily. He had the build. Same is true for guys like Ali. But even if Foreman fought today and was 220, we have seen heavyweights of the size still compete and do well. Povetkin,Haye,Mansour,Jennings etc
That's true. Holyfield said with one shot,Foreman hit the hardest and Holyfield sights and punch taken in round 10 or 11. Shannon Briggs said that Lewis and Foreman had different types of power but gave the edge to Foreman and said George "hurt you with every shot including the jab."
Again it's about a different type of power and different type fighters too. Wlad is all about setting up for the huge right hand. That's typically his KO shot and that is the shot that is perfect. So if Wlad is a KO puncher then of course he would KO people with that shot. Foreman was a brawler. His style was to keep hitting anywhere and everything. Foreman stopped guys with body shots. He stopped guys with straight right hands and left hooks and uppercuts etc He also hit guys so hard that many of them would literally quit. They'd turn their backs or they'd take a knee and the count etc So it's sort of unfair as a question. Foreman's style wasn't about setting it all up for a one punch KO just like Wlad's style isn't about beating guys down and making them quit.
It's like asking whether you'd like getting attacked by a grizzly bear or great white shark. Both guys in their primes had bone shattering 1 punch KO power.
I watched many top hwts train since 1970. No one and I repeat. NOONE hit like Foreman. Scary power. He would wear huge gloves to hit a 300 pound bag and he would move it like it was nothing. You could hear the sound of the blows all over the gym.
