Wilders technique is awful, his punches are slow and telegraphed. He leaves himself wildly off balance when swinging. Wlad's powerful right was a thing of beauty, a text book punch. Wilder's right - in the book of boxing technique - is listed in the chapter "how NOT to punch".

Wilder’s recklessness is exactly the reason he generates so much power. He fully commits to his right hand, to the point of recklessness. That’s why he’s arguably shown greater one punch power.

You’ll notice with Wlad that, while still having devastating power, his punches are far more measured, leaving himself less open, and able to recover, should his shot not come off.

I’m confident that if Wlad did swing for the hills, as Wilder does, he would generate greater power.
