Wladimir hits harder than hell, but he's so scared of another Corrie Sanders nightmare, he won't go after a guy with those shots until he's damn sure they are no longer a threat. Screw it, he needs to get over that phobia and get back to the beast he used to be.

No, just because he is, well if we determine top punchers based on how hard a guy hits.

Wlad is probably one of the top single power punchers ever in the history of HW boxing.

He doesnt look for the KO fast enough though and this disappoints fans, mostly casual who dont appreciate his defense.

Manny said Wlad is the single hardest puncher he has ever trained.

"Wladimir is the most powerful, one-punch fighter that I have ever trained in my life. He's the only guy who can turn the light switch out completely with only one punch. And his left hook is his most dangerous punch."

I will agree with Manny because...he knows boxing more than most anyone currently alive and training.

When you're 6'7" and most of your opponents are half a foot shorter than you there's not much call for body rips.

Young Klitschko is pound for pound one of the hardest punchers I've ever seen in the history of the sport. It's bone crunching skull splitting power. When you see him slugging, you just have to say, "That's a big man punch." Comes with such emphasis.

Not taking much away from Briggs actually, the guy has a super big punch. One of the top punchers of this generation behind Tyson, Wlad and Lewis.

Well said. Key word there is "young." This current version of Klitschko is too safety first, and putting his supposed "safety" in the backseat wouldn't put him at any greater risk imo. These heavys today are too inept to take advantage of any greater offensive output from Wlad, and his offense is too devestating for them to survive it. He has the opportunity to display his tools in bonecrushing fashion against Peter. He should do it.
