Wilder is much more active than Kovalev and is much more creative with his offence.
This creativity is what makes Wilder the hardest puncher in the sport, followed by Kovalev.
Beterbiev punches very hard but like Golovkin, he has zero creatvity and is a strictly, "No frills" boxer, typical of Europeans.

Wilder also possesses a wider punch selection than Kovalev and while Kovalev's power can knock opponents senseless for a few minutes, Wilder's power disconnects opponents from their senses up until they wake up in the hospital getting a MRI.

Golovkin looks exactly like what he is, a straight up, no frills Russian bum-rushing a no-hope opponent.
Even then he is mediocre and none special.
Canelo looked better against Smith than Golovkin looked against little Brook.
Canelo is a no frills fighter too, but he at least is not as plain and ordinary as Golovkin.

Golovkin reminds me of the old time Gold rush in Oregon where the miners pick up a Sears and Robuck catalog and order a mail-order bride. Them brides were plain Janes, homely, and ordinary, just like Golovkin.

Kovalev has good power, but Wilder's power is in a whole different league where post fight opponents get carted out on a ambulance stretcher.
Kovalev's opponents get up and shake his hand after the fight while Wilder's opponents lose all use of their limbs for a day or two.
