Who honestly scored their first fight for Ward????

    How? Those score are impossible for Kovalev.
    Either you had it 116-111 or you had it 115-112 for Kovalev. Hes the one who scored the KD.

    I just saw the 25/7 on HBO last night. Kovalev does not seem angry enough. He appears too relaxed and cavalier about the rematch.

    Why can't you score 114-113 for Kova?
    6-6 + knockdown = 114-114 minus 1 point for Ward = 114-113 Kovalev.
    7-5 + knockdown = 1115-112 Kovalev
    8-4 + knockdown = 116-111 Kovalev
    5-7 + knockdown = 114-113 Ward

    But you said I scored it too wide, you then say you scored it a draw but on revision had Ward by 2 points.

    People have scored the fight differently and I've no problem with that, but I thought Kovalev was the clear winner.

    Just checked my scorecard, 116-111 Kovalev.

    Really not a close fight imo.

    I just re-watched the fight for the first time and did so without sound and tried to do so without the bias that I have against Ward's style. I came up with the score of 115-112 for Kov as opposed to my original score of 116-111 for Kov. I bent over backwards to score straight down the middle and couldn't get close to even a draw.

    Ya I felt the same way when I was scoring it. I had it 115-112 and that was the most generous I could ever score it for Ward.

    I also don't buy the argument that because this wasn't the worst screw job we've ever seen we some how shouldn't cry robbery. Really? So if the most you can give a fighter is 4-5 rounds. He gets knocked down in the fight. And he gets decision that isn't a screw job? Sure sounds like one to me.

    Cant remember how I scored that round at the time but after watching that video you posted, I watched that round again and scored it for Kovalev. Ward landed a decent hook out of a clinch and a good jab at the end but overall Kovalev was far busier, had Ward backing up and seemed to land more and the better punches also.
    I think people get swayed by loud cheering crowds for a fighter they are supporting but as a neutral I gave that to Kovalev.

    Thought Kovalev was a clear winner and couldnt see how Ward got the decision.

    With the other fight I have seen mentioned on here (Golovkin/Jacobs), as a neutral scored close for Jacobs but will have to rewatch at some point. Slightly favoured Jacobs before the fight happened
