Who honestly thinks that Bowe should have won the rematch vs. Holyfield?

I thought it was a clear win for Holyfield. I was surprised that one judge had it even.

I thought it was close but the fanman helped Holyfield rest and take back the momentum that Bowe had. I had it razor close for Holyfield.

Had it one point for Bowe, when I scored it many years ago. Really could have gone either way though, and I was glad Evander got the titles back.

When I saw it live I thought Bowe had earned a draw and should retain the title. Holy had the flashy combos, but Bowe had the more consistent work. Take what you like. Reasonable minds can differ. That certainly was not Riddick's best performance and Holyfield fought the perfect fight to offset Riddick's strengths.

In hindsight, I also think Bowe could have had a good protest argument that after fan man literally delayed the fight for 20 minutes, that at that point the fight had been fundamentally altered with so much down time in the middle of the bout and therefore should have been declared a no contest. I think that helped Holy, because with the amount that he was moving, he might have hit the wall, but the long rest smack dab in the middle of the bout helped him, I think, not to fade or get broken down. Bowe certainly took care of business in the 1st and 3rd fights, though.

Holyfield had the momentum. The rest helped Bowe more because Holyfield's back started cramping during the break. Had "fanman" not showed up Bowe may have eventually ran out of gas and gotten stopped.

Holyfield had rocked Bowe in round 5 and had a good round 6, but Bowe did land a nice combo late in that round, and was having an excellent round 7, doing a terrific job with the jab.

A minute is a short time period to really gauge the momentum, maybe Bowe was turning things back in his favor and getting the rhythm with his jab, or maybe he just would've gotten caught again with the jab.

Anyway, I had it 115-114 Holyfield. Very close fight. Holyfield stole rounds 10 and 11 with some good work late in those rounds, and that was the difference on my card.

This is yet another example why people should not take Compubox seriously.

The statistics would lead people to believe that Bowe won handily, but that is certainly not the case.

I think it was close, had it to Bowe by a round,Bowe showed he was the better fighter over the 3 fights but Holyfield has the better legacy..

    Had it to Holyfield 7-5.

Evander landed the cleaner shots, did the better boxing, and had Bowe badly hurt twice.

Riddick was extremely competitive and kept the pressure on, but Evander easily nipped a close one.

Holyfield pulled it off by two or three rounds,in my opinion. Close fight but undeniably Evander's.

Not to mention the fact that Bowe had a lot on his mind during that 20 minutes and could easily have distracted him when the fighting commenced. Didn't a very pregnant Judy Bowe (wife) pass out and have to be taken to the hospital after the fan man landed?

If Bowe had been in as good a shape as he was for their first fight,he'd have won again.
