Junto, Robson, and El Venado all showed up and showed out, with performances far beyond expectations of even those who picked them.

    Can't split 'em.

    Nakatani for sure.

Japanese have good fighters - Inoue, Ioka, Teraji, Nakatani

    Nakatani

And then to think I slightly favored Acosta in that fight, being on semi home turf.

A lot of people favored Acosta, don't feel bad (although bookmakers had Nakatani a slight fave). And most people favored Gabe Flores and Valdez.

    Key takeaways:
    • Never underestimate a road warrior. (applicable to Nakatani/Venado/Conceição)
    • Boxing is theater of the unexpected.
    • Most people, as Uncle Rog told us all those years ago ...DKSAB. :deal:

Nakatani needs a bit of slickness added to his game, right now he's just using distance and footwork to defend himself , a bit of head movement and inside game will take him a long way.

Nakatani impressed me though, Conoceicao did too but the judges had other plans.

More love for López, guys. He might not be on Nakatani's or Conceição's level but he was supposed to be a pushover if you heeded the sportsbooks and commentators and whew boy, did they ever get punked.
