I don't even need a poll, the answer is Paul Williams.

I'm not going to put up a poll.... I'm sure you could present a nice argument for a lot of guys... But there are a couple of guys who should be above the majority of the crowd

i think paul williams, floyd mayweather jr. and manny pacquiao are the hardest to prepare for. paul williams because of his big height and reach advantage, mayweather jr. because of his handspeed and evasiveness and pacquiao because of his whirlwind, punches coming from all angles, speed and the fact that he's a lefty.

Mayweather is a walking puzzle for an opponent. From a technical standpoint he is very difficult to prepare for. In terms of the physicality of training, coming into fight against relentless guys who throw a lot of punches like Margarito probably brings out the intensity in an opponents training. Calzaghe is a great combination of points one and two, being a technical puzzle with his footwork and angles and throwing endless punches.

Fat Lennox Lewis didn't seem to require much preparation. :hey

Neither did the 73 year old Evandar Holyfield when he outboxed Valuev using boxing basics like "movement".

I think the one thing about floyd that is amazing is his game relies 100% off capitalizng on his opponents mistakes... There fore you couldn't really prepare for him.. You can only hope he doesn't beat the **** out of your
    Edit:

As the old sporting addage goes... Take what "he" gives you... Floyd does this amazingly
